Introduction
The assessment tasks for BSBLDR602 Provide leadership across the organisation are outlined in the assessment plan below. These tasks have been
designed to help you demonstrate the skills and knowledge that you have learnt during your course.
Please ensure that you read the instructions provided with these tasks carefully. You should also follow the advice provided in the Business Works
Student User Guide. The Student User Guide provides important information for you relating to completing assessment successfully.
Assessment for this unit
BSBLDR602 Provide leadership across the organisation describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to demonstrate senior
leadership behaviour and personal and professional competence. Business ethics are also addressed in this unit.
For you to be assessed as competent, you must successfully complete two assessment tasks:
Assessment Task 1: Knowledge questions – You must answer all questions correctly.
Assessment Task 2: Project – You must work through a range of activities and complete a project portfolio.

Assessment Task 1: Knowledge questions
Information for students
Knowledge questions are designed to help you demonstrate the knowledge which you have acquired during the learning phase of this unit. Ensure that
you:
review the advice to students regarding answering knowledge questions in the Business Works Student User Guide
comply with the due date for assessment which your assessor will provide
adhere with your RTO’s submission guidelines
answer all questions completely and correctly
submit work which is original and, where necessary, properly referenced
submit a completed cover sheet with your work
avoid sharing your answers with other students.

A of the Business Works Student User Guide. Refer to the appendix for information on:
where this task should be completed
the maximum time allowed for completing this assessment task
whether or not this task is open-book.
Note: You must complete and submit an assessment cover sheet with your work. A
template is provided in Appendix C of the Student User Guide. However, if your RTO
has provided you with an assessment cover sheet, please ensure that you use that.

Questions
Provide answers to all of the questions below:
1. Discuss, in one paragraph, the concept of business ethics.
Business ethics help to utilise the appropriated business argumentation and perform with regard of arguably controversial subject.
Company want to assure that, they are satisfied the client and worker needs and wants and also obey the rules and standard and execute
their ethnic responsibility (Ciulla, 2020).
2. Discuss ethical leadership and its importance in supporting organisational values.
Ethical leader supports their employees to doing the daily tasks and they try to maintain the working environment of the company. They
establish and promoting' normatively proper behaviour by through the personal actions and social relations. They help to inspire and
encourage the workers to establishing the respect and trust in the organisations.
3. Discuss three characteristics of an ethical leader.
Ethical leaders are honest, integrity and understanding. They esteem everyone equally and respect the essential atmospheric condition of
ethical responsibility, they always try to maintain working environment of the company so that they are able to achieve the target of the
company. Along with they make sure that their company is a place of honesty and trust.

4. Give, and explain, three benefits of ethical leadership.
Ethical leaders support the company to achieve their goals and fulfil their social responsibility, along with they give benefits of the
organisation such as helps top increases the productivity of the company, maintain morale and trust between the employees and co-
workers, lower turnover. Although it helps to build the brand image
5. Explain the importance of leadership in ensuring that work health and safety legislation is met.
Good leaders have a power to influence their employees and make a positive impact on attitude, behaviours and improve the overall
performance and maintain the health and safety environment of the company. Leader helps to motivate their employees to develop their
skills and knowledge, along with it helps to improve the quality and maintain the working environment.
6. Give five (5) reasons why it is important to follow anti-discrimination law and provide equal opportunity, giving a short
explanation of each.
Equal Employment Opportunities is the principles which says that everyone has an equal right and equal way to peruse the job which is
based on equality (Collins and Kanashiro, 2021). It is important to follow the ant- discrimination law so that, they promote the diversity,
maintain the reputation of the company, elevated employee’s engagements and give chance to develop their knowledge and skills.
7. Discuss at least three strategies that can be used to encourage employee participation in decision-making.
