1.Why is it important that all workers have access to health and safety information? Discuss in 80 – 100 wordsIt is significant to ensure information integrity. The information should be consistent, legal, for that the senior administration may use several sources to determine the reliability of the information, linking, correlating and matching information to assist in ascertaining its consistency. It is also essential that the workers have access to health and safety information so as to foster healthy and safety procedures in the work environment. The employees should be aware of the place to source healthy and safety information both for internal and external. 2.Where might information about hazards and the outcomes of risk assessment and control result from? Discuss in 120 - 150 words. Assessing legislation, rules and codes of practice. These are the main reliable sources for they provide the policies and guidelines on hazard prevention and management. The information canalso be obtained from the new changer of improvements to machinery and processes, by examining the machines before work commencement and during work. Team work members can also be formally consulted for information or everyday informal consultation with colleagues. Information can also be obtained through regular meetings and over-all housekeeping. Additionally, such information can be obtained by going through the health and safety records such as vulnerability reports, dangerous substances and hazardous good registers, and injury reports. Job place inspections and audits and audit reports on health and safety can also be sources of such needful information. 3.What are the benefits of consulting with workers about health and safety issues? Discuss in 120 – 150 words. Consultation with workers regarding the organization’s health and safety problems is significant because it results in proprietorship and support for initiatives. Consultation is also a show of corporate respect for the worker and an indication that the views and experience of the worker are valued. Consultations with the workers provides viable information because the workers are the ones that best understand the work, work conditions and the risks.
