INTRODUCTION
Presentation skills are the skills that are required to deliver effective presentation and
engaging different people or audience in the presentation. These skills cover different factors that
are format and preparation of the presentation, design of the slides, mode of delivering the
content, interaction with different people, eye contact, interpersonal communication, voice and
tone of the person who is delivering the content. Presentation is the way of communicating
which can be adopted to the different speaking situation when the person is communicating in
the group, addressing something in the meeting or concluding the meeting discussions. There are
various skills that are required when the person is giving the presentation that are adjusted to the
surroundings, use positive visualization, arrive early, transform nervous energy into enthusiasm,
attend other presentations etc. The report includes about my strengths and weakness when I was
giving presentation in the group, other than that it also consist of different comments given by
the audience related to my presentation skills.
Reflection of my presentation
When it looks back to my presentation, it was gone amazed and I have learned several
things from that presentation. My learning includes different presentation skills such as proper
eye contact, boost up of confidence, tome of my speaking etc. I think overall my presentation
went well with that I have found several features which I need to learn in order to give very
impressive and interactive presentation. The key issue which I faced while giving the
presentation was time. The presentation should be given within 15 minutes but when I have
given the presentation it was around 20 minutes. I have exceeded the maximum time frame
which should not be there. When it comes to my presentation, I was less concise in my speech. I
have cut out several things in my presentation, if I cut anything else then it will be difficult for
the audience to understand what I am trying to say and make them understand. Other than that
the another issue which I face in the presentation was that I had spoken all the content in very
fast way, which should not be there. Most of the people were not satisfied with my tone and way
of speaking. When I was giving the presentation, I was very serious because I was not smiling on
some point, which I should do. This have created very intense environment in the hall. Now I
have realised that I should smile on some point and I should need to take more time in order to

let my audience absorb all the information which was written on the slide so that they do not feel
that I am in a rush. Other than that there are several positive things that have taken place in the
presentation. I have concluded my presentation in very effective way. I concluded each and
every slide in one or two sentence which helps the audience understand that what the slides
includes. If I give any other presentation in the future, I am going to conclude in this way only.
Other than that I have used debate cards in the other section of my presentation, many people
have said that it is very effective way to involve audience in the presentation. Other than that I
have received one comment that I should use this method in future presentation so that audience
can give their proper feedback which helps me to gain what skills I have and what I need to
adopt in order to give effective presentation. With that the other thing which was gone well was
the introduction part, I have given in very effective way, which was very helpful to the audience
to know what is the problem and what I am going to discuss in whole presentation.
My learning
I have different skills from the presentation which I have given individually and in a
group. While giving presentation individually, I need to be very focused and confident. This is
because, all the eyes are watching me so I need to look confident. I have learned that confidence
is very significant part or skills when the person is giving presentation individually. This is
because when the presenter is confident then all the people who are listing to him or her can rely
on the information which is given by her. Other than that, I have learned that structure of the
presentation is also important to attract audience. If the structure is good and managed than the
information which is being conveyed can be done in systemic way. It also helps the listener and
audience to understand the information. Interaction is also another aspect which I have learned
from this presentation, if there is any interaction between the listener and presenter then the
presentation will become interesting and every people can easily take part in it. I have learned
that I should ask some questions from the listener so that they feel that their interest is very
significant for the presenter. This will help me find that how much information and slides being
understand by the audience. When it comes to the information in the slides of the presentation,
then it should include all the relevant data which support the problem or topic of presentation. In-
relevant information takes away the audiences to other aspect. Thus, I have learned that I should
be very specific and prescribe when I select the information about the topic.

Strategies to enhance my strengths and improve my weakness
There are several strategies which helps me to enhance my strengths and reduce or
improve my weakness in future when I will give any other presentations, that are as follows:
Be clear on the message and purpose: It is very significant for me to understand the purpose of
the presentation which I am going to deliver. Defining the purpose of presentation will help to
structure it in proper way. As well as it will also help me to make the audience understand what I
am going to include in the presentation. It is very important to structure the presentation around
the key message and specific supporting points the speaker is trying to communicate.
Understanding the audience: it is also very significant for me to understand what type of
audience is sitting in-front of me when I am going to deliver a presentation. Understanding the
audience will help me find their group’s demographic make-up, mindset and level of
sophistication in terms of the topic are all important things to consider. Other than that attitude of
the audience is also very important for me to understand, if they are interested in lot of
information then I can provide them all the statistics and if not then I can deliver presentation in
very prescribe way.
Get comfortable with PowerPoint: PowerPoint is very effective tool when the person wants to
present the topic or any subject. Presentations are often put together in a way that detracts, rather
than enhances the audience experience. I should understand the importance of PowerPoint when
I want to give any presentation. It should include 15 to 20 bullet points which helps the elaborate
it in very effective way. Other than that, when the customers do not want to listen the
information which I am giving then he or she can read the bullet points on slides and make his or
her understanding.
Feedback from audience, lecturers and fellow students
There are some negative and some positive feedback given by the different people who
have listened my presentation. The positive comments I have got were related to the content or
information I have included in my presentation, way of presenting introduction and conclusion
and structure of my presentation. Audience have said that introduction and conclusion was very
impressive. Introduction includes all the information about the subject and what I am going to
include in my presentation, whereas conclusion was also very much informative. The negative
comments I get was related to my tone and way of delivering the content, eye contact and time

limit of the presentation. I have exceeded the maximum time limit of giving the presentation
which should not be done. Other than that, I was delivering the information in very fast way so
the audience found difficulty in understanding information.
CONCLUSION
What strengths and weakness can be concluded from the feedback
From the feedback which have been given by the audience tells me different strength and
weakness I have when I am delivering the presentation. The strength I came to know are, I have
good confident level which helps them to trust and rely on the information which I am
delivering. With that all the information was very much informative and related to the topic. The
weakness I came to know are, there was no proper eye contact with the audience, my tone and
way of delivering the content was not appropriate, I was very fast in delivering the information
which creates confusion in the minds of audience.
