INTRODUCTION
Busniess environment is sum total of individuals,institutions and other forces that are
outside control of organization but firm still depends upon them as they affects overall activities
and sustainability of business. It is important for identifying possibilities of firm, tapping useful
resources and improving performance of organization ().
This report is based on British Red Cross Society. It is a netural and impartial
humanitarian network which is committed to help people without discrimination. This
assignment explains different types of organization, its purposes and legal structure. It will assess
size and scope of various kinds of organizations. It explains relationship between functions and
link to objectives and sturucture. It will identify positive and negative effects of macro
environment on operations of company. It also assess internal and external analysis of
organization for identifying strengths and weaknesses. It will explain pros and cons interrelated
with external macro factors of company.

There are many external factors of macro environment which are both positive and
negative impact on business operation. Such as:
Political Factors: Changes in governement and modification of policies and procedures
such trade policy, taxation etc. These elements negatively impact on business operations.
(Gajbhiye and et.al., 2015). Government is also contributing in different facilities of BRC
society. So that company is ensured that these policies are followed in workplace carefully.
Decision of political factors affects social culture and economic environment.

Economic Factors: Increase and decrease in inflation rate, competitive advantages are
included in economic factor. Inflation rate is increased which are effecting on funds, so that it is
BRC is unable to provide facilities of people. In contrast, if inflation rate is decrease, so that
company is raising funds and providing services smoothly. Hence, company raises funds from
banks and government institutions for giving the best facilities to people. Economic factors are
also affected on sustainability onof BRC (Truelove and et.al., 2014).
Social Factors: Health and safety, population growth rate, societal care etc.are involved
in these factors. Population growth rate is increased which negatively impacts on BRC services.
The positive impact on society of social media networking. Therefore, company provides better
facilities to people. Social factors are also affecting on sustainibility of busniess. With the help of
internet, company is avertising of products and services. It includes customers values regrading
buying of goods.
Technological Factors: Changes and innovation of techonologies includes in these
factors. Company uses advanced technology for providing better facilities to people. so that it
positively effects upon facilities of BRC. Some modification in technology negatively impact on
productivity and business operations. Thus, BRC is ensuring that the best technology is used in
facilties such as health and safety, education etc. (Stewart, 2016).
Legal Factors: Alteration of laws and regulation such as employment law, consumer
protection etc. These elements are included in this factor. So that, BRC is ensuring that giving
best health and safety, education facilities to people. If company is not followed this acts at
workplace, so that it is negative impact on busniess operation. Hence company should make sure
that these acts are followed in workplace carefully. There are many other elements included in
legal factors such as unfair financing activities, interest rates etc. Thus BRC should follow
consumer protection act at workplace.
Environmental Factors: Climate changes, environmental policies, pollution, availability
of natural resources, recycling are included in these factors. So that, BRC make sure that giving
the best services to people. Pollution is increased is negatively impact on facilities of BRC. On
the other side, company is followed environmental regualtion which is managing operation of
company, it is positive impact on facilities of BRC.

business strategies and allows to effectively come up with approaches for improving

Strengths:
Strong brand equity: The British Red Cross has strong brand equity in UK. With the help
of mobilisation strategy and extensive research, they are providing best facilities to people for
development and growth. BRC is giving various facilities such as health and safety, social
welfare for strong platform. Through strong brand, company is increasing awareness in front of
people.
Long history: British Red Cross has recognized importance of its history and its
achievement (Sen and Singer, 2017). With the help of long history, company is increasing their
business globally. Red Cross is providing different services such as hospitals, care home,
education, social care and more.
Weakenesses:
Lack of innovation: There are many lack of innovations relating to products and services
inventions in Red Cross UK. With the lack of innovation, BRC is unable to provide better
facilities to people. Company is developing innovation by using appropriate technology in
resources which are used by company.

Lack of online presences: British Red Cross has lack of online presences in UK. There
are many people who are not aware of company, it has a negative impact on company (Chiu and
et.al., 2014). With the help of social media advertising, BRC is increasing online presences.
Opportunities:
Expansion of products and services: British Red Cross is creating opportunities by
providing better and different services to people. Company is providing various services such as
social care, health well being, social welfare, care in home etc.
Online presences: Organization imporves thier online presences in order to collect more
donations and recruit many people in firm. By using advanced technology, they are creating
chances for strong brand equity (Truelove and et.al., 2014).
Threats:
Government policies and taxation: BRC is suffering from many policies and taxation
which are regulated by government. There are some authorities contributing in this society.
Therefore, it is a threat for BRC. Policies includes trade policy, fiscal etc.
Competitors: BRC is suffering from competitiors products and services. Therefore, they
are developing innovation for competition (Sauvé, Bernard and Sloan, 2016). By lack of
innovation and online presences, company is unable to face competition.

government, alteration of exchange rates etc. These components effects on British Red Cross.

so that it effects negatively on their brand name. Through this element, company is not providing
better facilities to people (Veen and et.al., 2015). For example: some of government policies and
procedures are interrelated with company policies and process. It is affecting positivley on
company’s image and reputation. Changes in technologies or advance pratical applications are
influencing operations of British Red Cross. With the advanced technology, they are providing
better facilities to people . Through improving online persences, company is increasing awarness

For instance: some of the economic factors such as increase in inflation rate influnces on
fund. It ishelping for provide best facilities to people It is a weakness of firm by which they are
unable to provide services to human (Van Wormer and Besthorn, 2017). Lack of innovation is a
weakness for growth and development of British Red Cross. They are creating opportunities for
developing inventions for providing better facilities. Technology and government policy are

expansion of organization. Threats are external factors of business environment. These are
indirectly influnced on various services which are provided by British Red Cross (Mahieu and
et.al., 2016). Ineffective competitors are possibilities which are helping in decision making
process within British Red Cross. With the help of lower inflation rate, company is raising fund
for services. Rivals are introducing innovative products and services which are threats of
company. With the help of advanced technology, BRC is providing better services to people.
They are creating possibilities for imporving online persences by using internet. These
elements are helping for increasing strong brand equity of company. British Red Cross is
providing many facilities which includes fire emergency support, health and social care, refugee
support services etc. Firm is raising funds by government and bank loan for providing better
facilities to people (Truelove and et.al., 2014). These are external factors which affects on image
and brand name of BRC.

SWOT analysis is directly influenced on decision making in both positive and negative
manner of organization. Firm is using advanced technology for increasing online persences. It is
most difficult decision of company for expansion of resources which are used in providing
facilities. With the help of innovative and advance technology, BRC is creating opportunities for
giving best facilities of people. Weakness and threats are negative impacts on decision making of
company.

voluntary sectors. It can be concluded that size and scope of various organization. It can be
discussed that company objectives are interrelated with functions of organization. It also
explained organization's goals that are linked with business activities. Furthermore, report
analysed that impact of macro environment in both positive and negative upon operation of
company. It can be completed that internal and external analysis in relation to strengths and
