Introduction and Project Background
Little Caesars is a pizzeria chain that operates in several parts of Australia. Since its
inception, it has become quite popular among the customers and hence, it has grown significantly
from a single small pizza café to a pizzeria chain operating in multiple branches. In spite of this
significant growth, the company has been using the same manual operating process i.e. the
orders are noted, added and bills are generated manually. Thus the overall process is slow, often
error-prone and causes dissatisfaction among the customers. Various customers have demanded
in feedbacks to implement an automated system for faster processing and error-free process. A
suitable system for achieving such effectiveness in operations is Enterprise Resource Planning
System (ERP) that can be done by implementing IT system within the store.
The purpose of this report is to present the business case regarding the proposed
implementation of ERP system for Little Caesars Australia.
Business Objective of the Project
The primary business objective of the project is to implement a system that will allow
faster processing and management of operations without any errors or issues. This will satisfy
the customers and will also enhance the performance of the organisation in terms of operations
and management. The objectives of the project are listed as follows.

Problem and Opportunity Statement
The main problem associated with the system is that the current manually operated
system is slow as well as error prone and is hampering the satisfaction of the customers as well
as the internal operations of the organisation.
The proposed ERP system presents the opportunity for the organisation to implement a
fully developed IT system with integrated CRM (Customer Relationship Management) that will
allow the company to manage customer details, orders and information effectively without any
errors.
Assumptions and Constraints
For this particular project, the assumptions made are as follows.
The integrated ERP system will come all types of business related features like
business portal, CRM, inventory management and others.
The proposed ERP system will solve all the operational problems faced by the
organisation.
The constraints of the project are as follows.
The organisation does not have any basic IT infrastructure on which the ERP
system can be integrated.
The proposed project plan requires considerable amount of time and budget that
can be constraint for the organisation.

Options and Recommendations
The option for Little Caesars is to implement an IT infrastructure on which, further
development include ERP system can be implemented and integrated. It is important for the
company to identify hardware and software requirements for successfully develop a plan for
system implementation.
It is recommended for the company to hire technical experts who will be able to analyse
the current requirements and identify necessary hardware and software requirements for the
proposed ERP implementation. Moreover, once the implementation is completed, it is
recommended for the company to provide training to existing employees to understand the
process and requirements of managing the ERP System.
Project Requirements
The project requires the organisation to purchase new hardware and software including
ERP development platform. Additional software is required in order to develop security for the
cloud based system. For the project, some technical experts need to be hired who will work on
system implementation and integration.

Risk Assessment
Some major risks associated with the project are discussed as follows.
Budget Overshoot – If the project is not completed on time or budget is wasted on
unnecessary requirements, budget overshoot may occur during the project. The initial estimated
budget is already very high and in case of budget overshoot, it may cause significant financial
damage to the company. This can be avoided by controlled expenditure process and avoiding
spending of funds in processes that are unnecessary for the project.

Cybersecurity – Since the project will involve implementation of cloud server for data
storage and management, cybersecurity is a major threat and risk to the system. External entities
may enter into the server and steal important information of the organisation. In order to avoid
this risk, it is required to install suitable system firewall that will help prevent any unauthorized
access attempt.
Conclusion
It can be concluded this project will be able to solve the problems faced by the
organisation if the implementation is done according to the plan and the employees are trained to
manage the system effectively. The overall budget for the project is significantly high and
external funding from sponsor might be required but it will be beneficial for the organisation in
the end.
