Slide 1: Company Overview
I conducted the project study on the business case of Target Store for opening a new outlet In
Canada. Target Store is famous for its red wine, low prices, solid quality of products and
services. Those are the factors helped the company to stock up their household products,
electronics and clothes. Target started to expand their operations in international market with
Canadian households. I identified few challenges faced by Target Store while expanding its
business in Canada. The main problems are lack of lack of knowledge related to the culture
of Canadian retail store, due to which it is difficult to understand the market segments. There
are pricing wars among its competitors like Wal-Mart, Costco, Giant Tiger, and Sears. There
are also identification of problem in supply chain affected distribution channels as well as
shelf replenishment. It lead to stock outs which can lead to customers to lose their patience
with Target Store in Canada.
Slide 2: Literature Review
I identified some of the project management approaches in project initiation and planning
helpful to plan a business case. Waterfall method is aimed to eliminate project risks by
outlining the project stages. Agile is focused on team collaboration and helped to improve
business productivity. Six sigma is a method used to improve over quality of the project by
reduction of defects. PRINCE2 is just a method to manage the project and conduct project
documentation for corporate planning. SCRUM methodology is focused in sharp delivery of
the project with speedy responses to the client. Lean empowers the project team to deliver a
value product and services. Kanban is a methodology designed for project team to steady
stream of project deliverables in continuous workflows. Finally, PMBOK is valuable for the
business organization as it allowed the companies to standardize the project management
practices.

PRINCE 2 is suitable for the project and business case as it is focused to control over entire
project planning from start to finish. Before the project kick off the project is being planned,
and each project stage is clearly organized and end after project closure phase. In the business
entities, documentation is required for PRINCE2 methodology as it helps in performance
appraisals as well as corporate planning. It also helps to mitigate the project risks before
affect the project objectives. Apart from this, I identified that this methodology is product
based along with divides the project planning in various stages for easily manage it. It makes
improvement over communication among stakeholders in addition to project team members.
This PRINCE2 methodology provides the project stakeholders with a chance to come with
decision making.
Slide 4: Performance Measurement / Management of Quality
Performance measurement is required to measure how Target Store is performed in Canada
by means of measuring its performance as well as achievement of organizational goals. In
order to measure performance of supply chain system, it is required to track stock movement
through testing it. There is required to manage sales growth of Target Store and taken
feedback from the customers through social media surveys. Supply chain metrics should set
to monitor the business values, customer services and cost. Profitability indicators helps
Target Store to measure percentage of relationship between profits as well as their total sales.
The key performance indicators are used to measure progress of business processes of Target
Store in Canada market segments.

The stakeholder analysis is termed as a process identify people involved in the project,
grouping them as per their impact and influence in the project. There is determining of
