Effective communication can be referred to as the exchange
of information, intention and emotions which is clearly
conveyed and the other is able to hear and understand the full
meaning of what is being communicated. It is the ability to
convey the information effectively and efficiently. In order to
effectively communicate, an individual must possess the skills
of listening, stress management, non-verbal communication
and many other There are many barriers to communication
which makes ineffective communication. This report shall
deal with the theories of communication, barriers to
communication and how to overcome those barriers to
effectively communicate.
Actor-Network Theory explains that tangible or intangible factors
are equally contribute in the success of technological innovation
and technical knowledge provider. These theory focuses on
network formation and contribution of these networks to success.
It is clear that that no individual solely responsible for the
innovation of the technological world. Hence there is a combine
contribution of individual and network for achievement of the
success.
Communication is a Latin word which means exchange of ideas
facts and feeling through speaking, writing, or using other
medium. It is the relationship that create the interaction
between participants.

This theory based on how people adjust or accommodate their
own styles to others. These changes in verbal and non-verbal
styles are done by two methods: divergence and convergence.
Divergence is conducted to identifying the group identity by
connecting to them or talking to people. This theory is often
used by the groups who have strong cultural or grouping pride.
These people are very strict to follow to their culture, values
and traditions. Convergence theory is used by the powerless
personality for social approval and focuses on matching their
communication styles of the person by whom individuals are
talking to. It enhances the compatibility between the
individuals. This theory helps in performing the strong
prospective of the individuals and social groups.

Different social groups and organisation set the rule bar
which is called structural formation of activities and that
need to follow by every individual. These structures form
social system which influence the life of their own.
Quality of the structure affects the decision making of the
groups and organisation, and decision also effect the
artefact of the formation. If the formation of the rules and
regulation is not proper or creating hurdles in the decision
making then it will affect the structure.
