TASK1 Common challenges and barriers to communication Business communication is defined as sharing of information in between individuals in an organisation which is mainly performed for the purpose of commercial benefits. Thus, it becomes essential for organisation as to facilitate positive and good form of communication with customers, employees and other related business individuals. With the help of this significant increase in productivity can be seen (Wang, Pauleen and Zhang, 2016). Apart from that there are numerous set of factors that hinder effective communication and acts as barriers. Thus, it becomes essential to overcome them as to facilitate best effective form of communication: Psychological Barrier: It is a physiological state that acts as a barrier within which there are number of factors that lead towards forming barrier. Some of these include, emotions, attitudes, consciousness, opinions, status and more. All these factors impact on person communication ability and lead towards creating obstacles for best form of communication. Emotional Barrier: Emotional barriers are defined as a mental restrain that significantly affect an individual thoughts and feelings as to formulate communication with other individuals. For an instance, anger is termed as a emotional barrier that further lead towards affecting individual to initiate communication with other individual. Physical barrier: This form of barrier in a communication process mainly arise due to environmental as well as mental conditions. There are numerous set of factors that acts as an restraining elements as to formulate communication process in between sender and receiver. Some of these factors include interior design, noise, technological issues, environmental factors and other related elements. All these physical form of barrier further lead towards creating immense level of disturbance in the process of effective communication. This will help organisation to effectively increase their overall set of productivity and profitability in well defined manner. 3
