 Communication is the process of share thoughts, experience,
knowledge and information in verbal and nonverbal mode. These
study describes factor that adversely affect the communication
 process, it also suggest the strategies to overcome from these barrier.
study also inform the way culture affect the individual behavior and
perception which can negatively contribute in communication and
can play role of barriers and hurdles.
Introduction

 language barrier
It happens when receiver and sender of the massage face difficulty in
conversation due to difference of language.
 Organizational Barriers
These barriers work as obstacle in flow of information. Organisation barrier are tough rules and
policies, information gap, timing, Complex Organizational Structure, Facilities given by
company , Status etc.
1.Communication barrier

Strategies for overcome language barrier
 Render English classes, coaching to employees
 Facilitate interpreters and translator in store.
 Use digram and other visual method for communication.
Strategies for overcome Organizational Barriers
• Give information of organisation objective, visions, mission, strategies and authority relations
which increase transparency and employee engagement.
• Try to adopt grapevine communication network type but it must has little formal official channel
and more informal culture.
• Manager must use empathic listening.
2. Strategies to overcome barriers to communication

 Ask employee to enhance their listening skills.
 Employee and manager both must work on improving their perception
skills by gather feedback form customer and co worker.
 Manager must render behavioural correction training, where employee can
get information of recent trends, So that they can break their practice of
generalizations things fast.
 One must question and challenge its own perceptions periodically.
Strategies for overcome Premature evaluation barrier

Cultural affect communication process in many ways like it affect the
perception of individual to things.
People generalise and select things based upon their culture like a person
belong to conservative culture can never accept and practice broad
culture and he will generalise friendship as wrong culture practice.,
culture has its own sign and symbols, body language, accent which is
hard to understand by people not belongs to that culture.
3.Cultural influence on communication.

 from the above study it has been concluded that
communication play a very big role in retail industry , so
every organization gives equal importance and weightage
to this element as they give to its customer.
 Communication can only treat by personalized training
program rather than standard training program because
customized training address and remove problem of
individual per its learning need.
