Effective business communication is highly significant in achieving business goals and
objectives
This study has focused to give in-depth overview about effective business
communication as one of the most significant concepts in workplace. Without proper
communication method business persons can never run their organization successfully. Before
making an effective business strategy and policy business managers need to make interpersonal
or group communication with every concerned stakeholder. While defining communication as an
overarching term numerous eminent scholars have provided their own opinion. Mishra, Boynton
and Mishra (2014) opined that communication is the link or bridge that connects the people
associated with business organization towards a particular goal.
Section 1: Identify concept related to work and its significance:
Business communication Week 1:
Week 1 just gave an introduction about the unit and different aspects of communication
process. Communication helps in transmitting appropriate messages to the stakeholders based on
which they becomes active and responsible towards their services. By evaluating the opinion of
different eminent scholars it can be defined that communication is the systematic method of
decoding the important messages to the right person in quest of making them alert about their

many. Body language and expressions are also considered as one of the most effective parts of
non-verbal communication method. Listening is one of the most significant ways of nonverbal

Week 3 evaluates written communication method and its importance. Some of the

method. With the help of non-verbal communication the business experts can circulate important

In week six the study has provided professional presentation techniques while
communicating with the employees. Effective business communication is a vast concept which
is even segregated into several parts. Effective business communication is of two major types
that include verbal communication and non-verbal communication.
Sometimes, maintaining effective verbal communication becomes a major challenge for
large number of employees. People belonging to different cultural backgrounds and attitudes are
not well accustomed with effective verbal communication. In this kind of situation, the
employees fail to share their views and thoughts with others.

Week 7 provides a detailed vista on how intercultural communication is the conversation
among the people from various religious and psychological backgrounds and attitudes. An
organization is constituted with the people of various psychological backgrounds and attitudes.

By arranging a organizational communication the business experts can introduce their
new strategy and policy so that message can be transmitted equally. Group communication is of
two different ways including small group communication and team group communication. On
the other hand, before arranging any group meeting business managers intend to arrange verbal
communication in a conference hall. With the help of participative form of decision making style
the business managers can maintain verbal communication very effectively (Baltes, 2015).

Week ten has provided vast vista on interpersonal communication and its major
significance. Interpersonal communication enables the business managers and employees in
maintaining face-to-face conversation. Face-to-face communication method is very pathetic that

verbal communication method is not compatible for everyone. Large numbers of employees are
there associated with business organizations that are capable enough in communicating with the
business managers effectively. In this kind situation, both the managers and the employees are
unable to maintain a proper communication with each other regarding making the business
strategy and policy. This very specific study has provided detailed overview about the
importance of written communication in enhancing the level of interaction among the
employees.

situation. However, employment appointment letter, curriculum vitae and business newsletter,
annual report, confirmation letter are provided in the written form for using the material as
document.

negative aspects as well. With the help of written communication both the two participants have
to wait for feedback. In written form of communication, the feedback is over delayed. As a

In my personal and professional development I have applied two particular
communication concepts categorically that has immensely enhanced my career. I personally feel

customers as well as internal stakeholder effectively. By arranging a group meeting the business
experts can introduce their new strategy and policy so that message can be transmitted equally. I
have observed that before arranging any group meeting business managers intend to arrange
verbal communication in a conference hall. The employees like us can get the scope to share
their own opinion regarding the success of business. Verbal communication enables both the
listener and the speaker to directly communicate with each other. As a result, the business
experts can get an immediate response from the participants. In my personal work experience I
face difficulties in making fluent communication with my seniors due to the lack of knowledge,
confidence and linguistic competency. However, I have decided to make an effective training
and development session so that I can improve my communication skill for better future. Proper
guidance and communication training program can enhance me in dealing with the customers
effectively.
After improving my communication skill I have observed that I can interact with my
senior managers more effectively which actually reflects on my future growth of career. While
maintaining a conversation the managers do not have to use non-verbal communication method.
As a result, they can easily interact with me while taking any business decision for future. It has
become a matter of good impression when I can equally reciprocate at the time of any kind of
discussion. While making group communication I can share my views and thoughts with others.
As a result, my group members can feel my presence at the time of meeting and conference and
they have considered me as an active member.
Apart from verbal communication I have implemented non-verbal communication within
my professional career as well. Among different kinds of non-verbal communication method I

have given emphasis on written communication. Email is one of the most significant forms of

in maintaining organizational transparency. I have observed that verbal communication
sometimes is proved to be disloyal with the help of which the employees cannot prove their
authenticity. Sometimes, employees tend to deny their statement in order to deal with the
situation. As per my point of view written communication is effective only when the business
experts tend to spread equal information to the people associated with business process. On the
other hand, in my personal work experiences I have prioritized on those written communication
method which is immediately effective. Most of the cases, I prefer to have conversation with my
senior employees through email so that I can save a written document of that conversation.

There is no alternative of business communication concepts.
