INTRODUCTION
Business Communication refers to the process of sharing information between people
within and outside the company. Effective business communication is how employees and
management interact with each other to reach to the organisation’s goals. Its main purpose is
to improve organisational practices and reduce errors. In this report, analysis has been done
on the barriers to effective communication and the strategies for overcoming communication
barriers. (Gupta, and et.al., 2015). Also research has been done on the general theories of
organisational communication and the barriers of communication at business united. The
hosen organisation is Business United which is a private college based in London. The
United college London is a dynamic and experienced academy that provides various courses
and seminars for professionals, businesses and students with an overall experience as an
education provider.
Individual Report
In this pandemic situation, it becomes very difficult to connect with their students and
are facing various kinds of problems in teaching them. Due to lots of problems teachers and
students got frustrated because they can’t perform the things in the exact manner that it
should be done. Due to corona virus situation everyone is at home so its very difficult to
concentrate on the studies because there are lots of distracting parameters which hinders in
achieving the daily basis outcome. (Anderson, and et.al., 2016). Every student is not techno
savvoy that they a handle all the operations of computer in an effective manner. Also it
becomes difficult for students to sit for longer hours in front of the screen because it’s a new
experience for all the students for such type of digital learning and online learning . This
pandemic situation also made students lazy because of the reason that they don’t need to go
anywhere, everything is available at home. This reason has also impacts on the health of
students as well as for everyone who is at home. For improving the communication there are
some theories which has been given in the professional terms for effective organisational
communication. Organisational communication is indeed relevant and important for
corporations all over the world . (Ting, and et.al., 2016).
There are different kinds of theories which includes: Weber’s classic organisational theory of
fixed structures, Tompkins and Cheney’s organisational control theory, Deetz’s
managerialism theory.
