INTRODUCTION Business communicationis exchanging information in order to promote an organization's goals, objectives, aims, and activities, as well as increase profits within thecompany. This report covers issues such as purpose and principle of effective communication. Focus on the area of enhancing the practice of communication and evaluate the practices of communication for themselves and others. This is done with the literature review and recommendations of the report. LO 1 Principles and purpose behind different form of effective communication In order to make the communication effective it is necessary that the company keeps a track on it as it is an important aspect and plays an important role in the company which helps them to maintain the flow of operations in a smooth manner. Apart from it the managers of the company is able to make the environment of work and maintain it with discipline. There are many different types of communication which is required and enabled in the company. There is a purpose and principle behind the effectiveness of communication and that is to get or convey the information in a clear way. This way the company will be able to increase the level of productivity and gain advantage over their competitors (Artyk, Gazarian and Danilova, 2017). Verbal Communication- This type of communication states the fact that one individual in the company will look after the information to another person by interacting or engaging with them in a conversation face to face. This is considered as a common form of communication which is necessary to be effectively used at the workplace of the company. Non Verbal Communication- This form of communication takes place in the form of feelings of individual which does not require speaking with another person. This aspect of communication includes body posture, movements made by hands, eye contact, expressions on the face of an individual etc. for instance when management of the company is conducting a meeting with the employees they will see the expressions on face so that they can check who is attentive and who is not. Literature review As per the view of (Pun, Chan, Wang and Slade., 2018)organizational communication is useful for the business to achieve higher growth on the industry scale. The flow of effective communicate createpositive environmentin which employees canbe actively do their work and helps to achieve goals andobjective of thecompany.The purpose of the organizational communicationto provide successand increase productivity of the business. There are different form of communicationwhich can be used in the organizationto increase flow of communication. There are five forms of effective organizational communication such as verbal communicationinwhich individual provide information by speaking, Non verbalin which include facial expressions, writtencommunication, listening – listening information properly and visual communication – showing videos or providing information digitally. As per the view of (Su, and Chan., 2017)there are some personalcommunication practices which can helps to improve our communication islistening to the information properly,this helps to provide proper and clear information to us. It is necessary for the superiors of the company touse effective communication, but they also have to follow the principles of the communication and one of them is clarity.The information they are providing should be clear and informative so employees can understand the information proper. And they can do their task properly.
Lo4 – Describe various principles of effective communication to enhance practice Principal of clarity-There must be clearly communicated message and at the same time spelt clearly. There must be no ambivalence in message. Message conveyed should be same that needs to beconvey through messenger. It is vital to know that message that has words posses some meaning to it. Principle of consistency-It focuses that communication must be done with polices, plans, programs and objectives of the company but sometimes it created conflicts also. Message should not be created any confusion. Principle of Adequacy– It states that whatever the information is, must be in completed form within all respects. As due to incomplete information it can delay decision as well as also creates confusion (Pun, Chan, Wang and Slade., 2018) . As if the message is incompleted form than it must impact the efficiency negatively. So it is must have adequate informationthat is used for making actions plans and also take appropriate decisions. Principlesofinformality-Formalinformationisusedinorganizationeverywherebut sometimes formal information is not convinced employees so for that managers needs to convey informal messages. Managers uses the informal message to evaluates the various reactions of the staff members. Principle of timeline- According to this principle communication can be done at the proper time as well as also assist in implementing plans. There is no delay as time is vital for every task as it can be completed on time focuses on taken decisions on time (Hänninen and Karjaluoto, 2017). .
