INTRODUCTION Business communication refers to communication and exchange of ideas and thoughts in context of the business. There are several ways in which communication is carried out in business organisation. This report will discuss about communication technology in context of Tesco. Uses of social media in workplace for communication Social media has become integral part of life of people and this is why this can also be used by organisations for their internal communicationHolland, Cooper & Hecker, (2016). Tesco can use and implement social media because of these reasons- This enhances and builds personal relationships of employees with their co-workers and this improves their communication quality in both formal as well as informal ways. These relationships also contribute in effective team working in the Tesco. Using social media for internal communication is also easy and there are several options available for the company. This means that Facebook. Twitter, Company’s Blog. These are some of the ways through which Tesco can implement internal communication and this also help in connecting employees effectively. Social media in Recruitment and Selection This is one of the important use of social media in Tesco, this facilitate search for the candidate and along with that it also help in ensuring effective selection of the employees in TescoBossio and et.al., (2020). This is among several other uses of social media within organisation. Tesco can post vacancy through social media, such as Facebook, LinkedIn and social media also help in identifying and understanding suitability of the candidate for the job role.

This means that all other areas are requiring innovation for continuing success.
