INTRODUCTION
Business communication is a proper flow of information and the feedback is an important
part of thee communication. There are large numbers of people who are involved in this
communication and take the decision in a proper manner (Dwyer and Hopwood, 2019).
Communication plays an important role in directing and controlling the people in the
organization and by getting the feedback the misunderstanding can be avoided. The rules and the
regulations are to be communicated with the people outside organization. The business
communication is regulated by the different rules and the norms which are to be followed
strictly. The topic cover under this report is the challenges and the barriers of effective
communication, their strategies and the importance of culture awareness.

Discuss some general theories of organisational communication
There are various theories of organisation communication which helps in proper flow of the
information. Communication makes the work easier and there is a good relationship and no
misunderstanding will arise in the future.
Weber’s Classic organizational theory of fixed structure: It helps in defining the roles and
responsibilities and makes the communication clear enough. There will be no confusion arise and
the messages are easily transfer from top to bottom (Naidoo and Dulek, 2018). It helps in
defining the roles and the responsibilities properly for the growth in the future.
Tompkins and Cheney’s organizational control theory: There are the four kinds of the control
that the organization must have in exercising the power in a very simple , bureaucratic, technical
and the concertive way. It helps in defining the mission and the vision of the organization in a
clear manner so the objectives can be achieved easily and there is a free flow of the information
in an organization.
Deetz’s managerialism Theory: It helps in acknowledging the political and the economic interest
and has a control over it properly. It helps in representing the evolution of the organization
theory of control and the communication.
Theory of bureaucracy: This theory is developed by Max Weber the theory has hierarchical
approach in which there is flow of communication till the information reaches the top. For the
strict controlling of a worker’s the theory of bureaucracy is used.
Theory of X and theory of Y: This motivational theory is given by McGregor it helps in
promoting creativity and recognize the people as the greatest asset there are two side of effective
