Business environment
Education reflects relevance in life, which would be part of the discussion of this
reflecting essay. Considering the decision pertaining to post graduation studies, my
experience would be included considering self-assessment. It can be said that the current
knowledge prior to post graduation, I would like to add that the business sis the commercial
activity which include trading of goods or service in exchange of earning money that is
helping in living of the business person. Thus it acne be said that a business consist of various
function activity with the key objective to earn profit and keep the trading on going for long.
This may also include serving to the customer and providing the trades and services to large
number of customer in order to keep the profit higher (Ahlin, 2014).
I would be opting for post-graduation in management field. Business environment
according to my opinion is the environment or associated stimuli in which the business is
being conducted and affecting. The key reason for selected this course to be studied in near
future is the goals that I possies. My long term goals are to become a successful business
person or entrepreneur, for whom there are various other knowledge and skills that I need to
possess. The professional behaviour, studies are essential in order to become an effective and
successful business person. Thus, in order to accomplish my long term goals there are some
medium and short term goals which include attain professional degree as one of the medium
terms goal (Akkermans, Brebbibkmeijer, & Blonk, 2015).
Considering my past experience, I could say that through academic background I am
being prepared for this course as I have been studying management aspects with interest.
Other than this my interest in economics and study of economy has also being developed
from my previous courses. The past academic knowledge not only reflects the interest in the
selected course but also increase the level of preparedness. For instance the economic

principles, understood from my experience and knowledge reflect the study of consumer
decision making or factors that are affecting the choice of consumer in the market. Moreover,
economic principles reflect satisfaction creation of the customer’s needs considering the
limited resources available. This reflects the management of resources and understanding the
needs of the consumers so as to offer goods and services and increase customer satisfaction
eventually (Bailey, 2018).
From the course, in order to ensure that my required or expected outcomes have been
attained, I would be creating objectives for short run that would be directed towards my goal
of becoming successful business person. Other than this I will be planning attending class,
participating in business simulation activities in the class, so as to practice the professional
behaviour and the key knowledge pertaining to business through time management. In order
to ensure that my studies are well managed and monitor in order to reach a successful
conclusion and attain goals, I would be preparing Gantt chart which will include the timeline
along with the activities or plan that needs to be attained. This will ensure that the initial steps
that are to be taken and directed towards the goals are check listed and accomplished on time
so that the actual conclusion is in support to the actual goal in my career (Fook, 2018).
From my past experience of internship in apparel business, one of the area that I
found to be challenging was marketing. The key reason being I am good in critical thinking,
but communication is not very effective, which make me hesitate to interact with the
customers and other stakeholders. Thus, I would be applying the knowledge and skills from
opting this course in my near future so as to improve this area and apply this in being a
