Ethics and value are the core area of an organization that help the entity to perform all the
functionally ethically and for overall welfare. This report is based on the organization that is in
the situation to shut down but had the choice either to carry out ethical or unethical decision.

INTRODUCTION
Organization operates in the rapid changing environment so there are always options to
overcome any situation given that company is ready to take upon the challenges. Proper
homework about the competitor and the foreign company will help us in putting the best offer; if
both of these things are done properly the company has a chance of winning the bit ethically and
sustaining the offer which can save the future the company (Michaelson and et. al., 2014). What
other things company can do they can see if there is any opportunity to cut from the spending
they do if so they should exercise that immediately, they need to go economical.
MAIN BODY
a) Will you be ethical in this situation? If yes how? And if no! Why?
Under the case study the company is suffering from heavy losses and the tender offered
by the foreign company is the only way to come out of the crises for the company. The company
is in situation where they have an opportunity to go through the envelope of the competitor bit,
so that they can bit higher. Company should not go for that as it is unethical and wrong, company
should keep their keep their own bit whatever they are comfortable at and should see how the
things go on as the law of ethics says that its ok to bear loss for a short interval of time but its not
acceptable to go onto the unethical route so company should scrap that option where they have to
theft the competitor bit to win the tender. If I am in the situation I will tell the authorities about
the envelope as it is not ethical to do something which is not permissible. The focus will be on
seeing the deal and offering the reasonable bit as it is the last option for the company we will try
to keep bit as best as possible so that company can buy our offer and we at the same time can
beat the bit of the competitors fairly (Floyd and et. al., 2013). The whole study of the company
will be done all the internal and external environment will be evaluated and offer will be made
accordingly. Even if we didn’t win the bit we have to find out different ways to survive our
business without compromising with business ethics.

b) If you be ethical, how you will survive your business
The owner need to take a decision to accept a cut off pay, they need reduce the portion of
drawing they are doing from the business so that the money saved by that can be used in
operation of the business. The company need to identify who are their best options as far as
suppliers are concerned, they should know how to negotiate with them so that they can crack the
best deal out of them so that cost can be minimized as much as possible, they should sustain the
relationship with the supplier so that they can be provided by the best unbeatable rates in the
market (Hoffman, Frederick and Schwartz, 2014). Company need to identify that which assets
are not giving any returns to them or are in no longer use, they immediately needs to sell them so
that they can get a best money against them, longer they will sustain them it will become more
obsolete which will result in decrease in their value. The company needs to learn to adopt new
technologies so that it can give them competitive advantage over their competitor which can help
them to exercise huge profit for short period of time at least. Company need to go through their
product and services and find out where they are lacking, they need to bring out the necessary
changes in the product and services they are offering to the public (DesJardins and McCall,
2014). The changes should be done in a way that the products are accepted by the public and
services are also welcomed open handed. The company should do comparative study of their
competitor and find out in various departments where they are lacking, after finding that they
need to work in a way that the loopholes can be covered and company can again compete with
their competitor, they should possess a unique selling proposition so that they can over come the
competition and survive in the modern competitive environment. Company also need to identify
how they can increase the sales of the products more and more, they need to do proper
segmentation and tar getting of the product and they need to identify the best market for them to
operate, different marketing technique can help them to identify how to operate, segmentation
and tar getting is one of them. The core focus of the company should be to sale more and more
product and services it can be done by increasing the market share of the company. Company
need to focus on building relationship with the customer, adding more and more customer by
retaining the existing one and getting word of mouth and reference from the existing customers,
it can be done if the services and product given to them are satisfying them so they need to focus
on the quality of their product and service experience to the customer should be good. Company
can look for other assistance from foreign companies they should try to analyse every component

in the market and try to grab the entire opportunities offer to them in this hard time. Company
should make sure employees are motivated properly and their interests are not conflicting with
company interest, employee suggestion should be taken into consideration and company should
always entertain a new idea and if anything seems interesting they should research it and
implement it if required (Crand and et. al., 2019). Another thing the company can do for the
survival is to get advice from an accountant or financial consultant so that they can understand
where they are lacking financially and what mode can be adopted to overcome the financial
instability.
RECOMMENDATIONS
The company should maintain the ethical values even if it is thinking to dissolve its
operations the dealing gained at the time of bidding process was unethical that must be avoided
by the internal manager.
CONCLUSION
Therefore, all company need to function ethically if they want to survive for a long
period, all the mention things need to be done ethically as that is the first thing which come
before anything else. If nothing improved even after all this company should think of winding off
then only. Although the dynamic situation and undesirable condition of the entity affect the
position of company but internal manager must give preference to their values.
