Introduction
Event management refers to the implementation of project management in order to the
development as well as creation of various small medium and large-scale corporate and personal
events. These events can be formal meeting, festivals, concerts, conferences, conventions and
many more (Arnott, 2020). In the present case study, a destination is chosen within Australia
which is Sydney where three different locations for different events are selected. In the present

venues among the host city. This will assist in selecting best and most suitable venue for
organising different type of events as per the requirements and needs. Along with this, detail
description of three chosen venues are going to be discussed in this report.
Methodology
Sydney is one of the most beautiful and exciting city among Australia but on the other
hand is quite expensive. Infrastructure and architecture of the city is highly attractive and well
known for its entertainment sector. In addition to this, it has also been said that Sydney is well
known for its Event Cinemas' first theatre. This was first opened on George St within the year
1913, under the erstwhile Greater Union brand. This theatre is currently operating and is refers
to one of the Australia's busiest and most popular cinema locations. There are large number of
hotels which provide services to conduct or organise a conference and meeting.
In the present report, different venues are being selected for conducting three different
events and conference which are of small, medium and large scale. The process of venue
selection is started with internet buffering of various conference venues within Sydney. Different
types of websites are there which are quite helpful which assist in short listing the venues and
choosing best as per the needs and predefined criteria (BERRIDGE, 2018). These websites
provide list of events and conference centres within Sydney where the main aim is to select the
best and most suitable venue as per the seating capacity. Below mentioned is the table which
includes all the criteria related to the events and number of delegates included in this.

For every venues selected, it has been said that it is quite essential before choosing the
venue is to analyse that there must be space of conducting one function such as conference
meetings and workshops. Along with this, seating capacity needs to be consider before selecting
the venue such as workshop sessions need boardroom, classroom and U-shape sort of venue in
order to complete their presentation. All these events and conference are conducted for different
durations as per the requirements of meeting and sessions. These venues also provides
refreshments to their delegates within the interval of specific duration.
On the other hand, if talking about the spacial requirements for different events reduces
the option of venues (Katz and Green, 2018). For instance, in reference to Scenario C where
guest list is up-to 1000 delegates reduces the number of option as there are limited venues for
such conference and events. Whereas, in reference to small scale events and conference, there
are large number of options available which assist in selecting the best one as per the need and
requirements of conference. Similarly, in case of medium size venue it has been examined that
there is some confusion between small and medium size venue which as a result affect the
