INTRODUCTION Event management can be defined as implementing project management in order to create or develop both small scale as well as large scale events. The events can include festivals, conferences, ceremonies etc. Effective event management helps in conducting a particular event successfully without any issues. Destination chosen for this report is Sydney, one of the largest cities of Australia wherein three events will take place. The events will be conducted at different sizes, i.e., small, medium and large. The rationale behind choosing Sydney as the location for business events is that it is one of the most visited cities in the country and will offer the participants a seamless experience. The report includes a description of the method that has been used in order to find the suitable venues for each of the three events and explanation of each of those venues. It also includes an analysis of how the spatial design of the venue meets the operational requirements. Methodology Sydney is one of the largest cities in Australia and is popular for many things like Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbor Bridge. The city is regarded as the 12th most expensive city in the world and has a highly attractive infrastructure. Sydney is located on one of the most beautiful harbors. It has a moderate weather due to presence of the ocean and the summer season in the city occurs from December to February. It is the capital of New South Wales and is regarded as the oldest cities in the country. The city attracts tourists from all over the world for both business as well as leisure purposes. It is located on the East Coast of Australia and is home to the largest natural harbor in the world, i.e., Port Jackson. The city can be divided into two geographical regions, namely, the Cumberland Plain ad the Hornsby Plateau. There are a large number of venues in the country wherein conferences or other corporate events can be conducted at small, medium as well as large scales. For this report, three venues have been selected wherein three evets will be conducted. In order to do so, various event venues in the Sydney were explored online. Various websites helped in finalizing the suitable venues for all the events. The main aim was to select venues that could accommodate all the participants for the event. Findings Conference Scenario 1 (Small Scale) The venue chosen for conference scenario 1 is The Sydney Boulevard Hotel, which is a four-star property that was renovated in the year 2016. The hotel has halls that are most suitable for hosting meetings, conferences, galas, banquets and retreats etc. It is located on 90 Willian St., Sydney NSW 2011, Australia. The elegant and centrally located hotel can be considered to be an ideal setting for business conferences and meetings. There are several modern boardrooms wherein small scale to medium scale conferences ca be conducted with ease. There venue has professional staff members who are always there to assist the guests with any requirements in order to make sure that the conference or meeting is a success.The pillarless ballroom at the venue has the capacity for up to 450 people which means that a small conference can be hosted easily. The hotel also has meeting rooms that are versatile and have natural sunlight with small glimpses of Sydney Harbor Bridge. The spaces available for meetings and conferences are well- equipped and flexible. The venue can assist with the presentation and conference equipment like whiteboards, marker, projector as well as the catering requirements for the same. The maximum capacity of ½ Ballroom is up too 140 people. This means that this ballroom will be ideal for hosting the small conference event. There is also a pre-event refreshment area that can be used to serve refreshments to the guests who attend the conference. Parking facility for the guests is also available at the venue. 2

CONCLUSION Based upon the above, it has been concluded that Sydney is a renowned destination in Australia. Moreover, rather than expensive, this is the most impactful destination. For undertaking the most effective as well as appropriate venue as per the stipulated criteria there are various forms of sites that is helpful in identifying the suitable venues. Along with this, it has been also summarised that the above chosen three venues within scenario are undertaken based upon their functional as well as special needs that assists in accomplishing overall requirements in well defined way. Rather than this, it is also evaluated that conferences in all selected venues conduct through management according to the limits of areas. In addition to this, for the ideal business travellers, they provides contemporary dining, heritage listed pub, a roof top bar as well as the complementary access to an off site 24 hours centre of fitness which is located a shorter walk up Market Street.
