Introduction
Communication in general sense is termed as an act of conveying messages with meaning
from one group to another. It has its great importance in business sense, as operational
activities of the business firm involve working together of various individuals or group of
individual towards pre-determined goals and objective of the company. Managing
department of chosen organisation i.e. Business United, which is a private college and
offers various bachelor courses, MBA and also PhD. courses for students. The
management while performing its respective business tasks encounters several barriers to
communication. However respective managing department of the firm still manages to
overcome these barriers by adopting various techniques of effective communication and
raising importance of cultural awareness.
Technical Barrier: It refers to the barrier in which technical issues causes a barrier
in establishing effective communications. In regards to chosen organisation, due to
this COVID-19 pandemic, teaching is being shifted more online. Various courses
and teaching lessons are being provided online to respective students. However due
to improper Wi-Fi and or any other technical issues students often miss important
lesson. This causes a barrier to effective communication in the respective
organisation.
Emotional barrier: As provided various study materials as well as lessons
are provided to respective students of the college is been provided through
online, it creates lack of interactions with teachers as well as college friends.
With light to that fact that personal interactions of students with teachers are
been considered as an important for effective learning, which is hardly
possible in online classes and creates another barrier to effective
communication.
BARRIERS TO EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION
By establishment of effective communication in an organisation various managers and
leaders of the firm are able to implement respective operational strategies. However, they
encounter various barrier to effective communication which are as follow with context to
chosen company.
