INTRODUCTION Business information system is referred to as the different set of interrelated process being used in the IT infrastructure of the business. Any business cannot work without the use of the information technology and the other important technology being used and applied within the business (Gronwald, 2016). These systems are designed to help the company in decision making process and in overseeing all the business activities. The monitoring of the business and its activities is very essential for the company and for this the balance scorecard is the most effective tool. The current report will outline the balanced scorecard in order to analyse the business information system requirements of the food service. MAIN BODY The business information system includes the analysis of the organization and its operations and working with help of the information system or the technology. In the current competitive world the use of technology is the latest trend which is being followed by the company and if the company not follow to it then this will be a waste of time. Thus, the use of the business information system will assist the company in managing the business of the company in more effective manner. This will make sure that the company manages all its business in effective manner so that it attains the aims and objectives of the business. The major business information system that will help the company in managing the business is the use of the balance scorecard. The balanced scorecard is the technique which is the strategic planning and management system which will make sure that company is able to manage and communicate the fact that what the company is trying accomplish. Also, this balanced scorecard is the techniques which help the company in aligning the day to day work that every person within the company in making and implementing the strategy. The balanced scorecard is the technique which helps the company in managing the performance of the company to a great extent. This is technique is very helpful in managing the performance of the company to a great extent and this will help the company in managing the business and its performance in effective and efficient manner (Nørreklit, Kure and Trenca, 2018). The use of balanced scorecard is very simple and easy to use as this assist the company in managing and measuring the work in proper and effective manner. Thus, the first step of the use of balanced scorecard is to determine the vision and mission of the company. This is majorly
pertaining to the fact that the balanced scorecard is the tool which assists the company in managing the effectiveness of all the business activities and then to help the company in making sure that these activities are taken and executed in the same and intended manner (Hansen and Schaltegger, 2016). There are many different activities or the major factors which are mainly focused on the company for improving and measuring the performance of the company. This includes the four different matters which are financial, consumers, learning and growth and the last one internal business process. All these four aspect or perspective of the balanced scorecard help the company in managing their work and to ensure that all the activities of the company are working in the intended manner or not . The first and the foremost aspect which need to be monitored is the financial department of the company. This is majorly because of the fact that the finance is the lifeline of the company without which the company cannot work in effective and efficient manner. Thus, the most important aspect of his is to monitor the financial performance of the company and this will be done is the financial planning is done in proper manner. This is due to the fact that if the financial planning will not be implemented in proper manner than the company will not be able to reach to the intended aim. Another major perspective is of consumer and the stakeholder and their need. This is very essential for the company to monitor for making the company earn good profit and market position. This is so due to the fact that when it comes to the success the most important thing is the satisfaction of the consumer and the other stakeholder within the company. This is so because of the consumer will not be satisfied then the company will not be able to earn a good amount of profit. Thus, for this it is essential for company to give value to the consumer so that their needs as satisfied and they are retained within the company for longer. The next perspective is the internal process which makes sure that the efficiency and quality of the process of the company are good and effective. This will make sure that the operations of the company are taking in proper manner and the consumers like it and this will make sure that the company is operating in proper and effective manner (Cooper, Ezzamel and Qu, 2017). Thus, for this it is essential for the company to apply the balanced scorecard as this makes sure that the company will be able to apply the tool in effective manner.

Hence, the application of the balanced scorecard is the only good technique of monitoring the performance of the business activities. the present report discussed about the application of the balanced scorecard and the different perspective of the technique like the financial, consumer and stakeholder, internal process and the last the learning and growth.
