INTRODUCTIONBusiness information technology system is related to implementing informationtechnologies in the company to increase the productivity and profitability for the firm. Thisstudy will include Google to perform following task of this study. Google is operating itsvarious activities in all over the regions. It has number of employees more than 85000. Itprovides various products and services such as google flights, google custom search , googlehotel finder and security tool such as Recaptcha etc. This study will include the use of IT systemwith different functions of the organisation. Furthermore, it will include It systems contributionto achievement of objectives of the firm. It will also provide different ways through which ITsystem can process and store data. Furthermore, it will include IT system uses for supportingvalue- added change for improving business operation, performance and sustainability.TASK 11.1 Use of IT system with different functions of an organisationInformation technology system is related use of different software and system forimproving productivity of the organisation. Information technology is related to use of differenttechnologies for improving its manufacturing process etc. Information technology system is usedin organisation to perform various task of the organisation (Cooke and Huggins, 2018).Organisation uses IT system to performs various functions such as marketing , accounting ,research and development and production function.Marketing function of google include marketing of its various products and services byuse of different promotional tools such advertising in newspaper, magazines etc. Google usesinformation technology system for its marketing function through which it promotes its productsand services to sell it in the market. Information system assist Google in various decision-making regarding various tools or marketing mix such as product, price, place and promotion.Organisation uses It system in order to identify information relating to customers. IT systemassist marketing function bringing innovative ideas for promotion and product development.Accounting function of the organisation uses information technology system to store andrecord different financial transactions (Howell, van Beers and Doorn, 2018). IT system assist inincreasing the operational efficiency of the Google by providing them with accountinginformation system which assist firm in collecting, storing, managing and processing financial1
data in order to be used by managers, business analyst etc. IT system assist in saving time byrecording the data automatically.Production function of organisation uses It system in order to increase the productivity ofthe organisation by providing customers with high quality products to increase the profitabilityof the firm. Production department of the organisation uses this function for reducing the cost ofproduction by implementing various information technology systems. Google uses informationtechnology system for managing its inventory by implementing inventory management system inthe firm that will assist the company in reducing inventory misplacement and fraud by propertracking the inventory through the use of information management system. Organisation alsouses cloud computing for performing its various functions . Cloud computing helps theorganisation in increasing its capacity to store data.1.2 IT system contribution to achievement of objectives in GoogleInformation technology contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the google.Organisation by using IT system can maximise its profitability. Information technology provideorganisation with various benefits such as : Communication system : Management of the organisation require various sources of gatheringand distribution of information which involves lot of time. Google by implementing informationsystem such as communication system managers will be able to communicate variousinformation by making the communication process more efficient. Managers can store the dataand provide it to the employees whenever required (Santoro and et.al, 2018). This system assistin improving communication between different department which leads to improve theefficiency of the employees and the objectives of the organisation are achieved effectively andefficiently.Operation management: Information technology system assist in improving variousoperation performed by the Google. This system assist in identifying various informationsrelating to competitors which helps in improving the efficiency of the firm by providing itscustomers with better services and products (Long, 2018). Google by implementing operationmanagement system can increase its efficiency level and productivity which will assist the firmin achieving its objectives, Sales data provided by system assist in identifying productspurchased by customers and can improve their product according to their demand to increase itsprofitability.2
