INTRODUCTIONLaws or rules and regulations are the core and essential element to be taken intoconsideration. It is the factor which determines that the business practices that are been ongoingare been followed correctly and under the law. This report will highlight the importance ofbusiness laws in UK. Besides this, the report will also focus on the English legal system and itsvarious sources (Bacon, 2017). Along with it, the report will also discuss the role of governmentin the law making and its various obligations that are been taken into consideration. Besides this,the report will also take into various cases where laws played very crucial role.Section 1P1. English legal system and its various sourcesThe English legal system is the set of law or the constitution that is operational inEngland and Wales. The constitution consists of the civil and criminal law with basic code ofconduct for the citizens of UK. There is no recorded law but it is followed under the Royal courtof justice. Some laws are been derived in the legislation while other laws are based on the rulingsand decisions of the court from previous cases. The set of rules are been diversified into twosections and the legal preceding of both the cases goes accordingly, as per the law (Lidstone,2017). The type of law which are under practice are as followsThe legal structure of the UK is based on a hierarchy of courts and follows a sequentialprocedure which is to be followed by all the citizens. This courts are based on Britishconstitution which sees the influences from the countries of EU. A there is no official written lawin UK, the laws are mainly concerned to the issues that are related to its citizens well being andsafety as well as the protection of the individual rights in regard to colour, race, nationality andregion. In UK, the laws are not been decided with the involvement of court of law and theparliament or the government alone has the right to change or modify any law or rule (Furlongand et.al., 2017). Even the implementation of any new act is subjected to the presenting a draft inparliament where the parliamentary members will review it, discuss and debate about it andwhen all the members are been agreed upon the law, it is been made as an act of law. The legalsystem of UK is bifurcated into two types of laws which are:1

It includes the cases like divorce, alimony,insurance, deceit etc. such cases can be handled within as well as outside the court oflaws and are for the betterment of the living of an individual as well as the society (Jones,2017). In such cases, the condition is brought into notice of the court of law by the legalassociate or solicitor of the concerning parties and is made to be available due under thelaw. Such cases may not include any sort of detailed legal procedure. Criminal law:The Criminal laws are the rules and regulations that are been set up toensure the well being as well as the safety of an individual or the society. This include thecases such as murder, harassment, negligence, theft etc. in such cases the police getsinvolved and the convict is been held to be present in the court of law (Kelly, 2017). Thecourt hears the appeals and based on the proceedings the punishments are been decided.This may include the severe punishments like death penalty. This cases are required to behandled by the court of law to avoid their occurrence in near future for the safety andwell being of the people of society in UK. 2
