Executive Summary
The aim of the assignment is to develop and plan a business plan in the field of catering services
whereby a new start-up will be launched in the field of catering services. The name of the
company would be Delicious Caterers whose primary aim would be serving various category of
functions, party and events. The wide portfolio of product offerings along with the specialised
technique of carrying out the operations of the company would be the key strength of the
company. There will be various financial projection that would be done for the company
whereby the revenue and expense estimates for the company for a sum of three-year would be
taken into consideration. The evaluation of the overall profitability for the start-up plan was
assessed with the help of the return on investment and the payback period for the company.
Quality food and increasing market penetration with a rate of 20% per annum would be the key
focus of the company in the long-term. The employee base of the company would be filled with
trained personnel whereby adapting with the technical expertise about the modern facilities and
equipment’s would be trained. It is recommended that in order to stay profitable in the business
the company will be evaluating various sales and marketing strategies so that the market
penetration stays at the optimal rate. Covering fixed cost of the company in the form of
sustainable growth of revenue for the company will be some of the other aspects that the
company would be dealing with. The new start-up would be earning a significant amount of
profitability for the company where a sound return on investment is expected from the business
in the long-term. The new business proposal would be focusing on establishing a proper
restaurant and catering service business so that the customers are attracted to services which is
offered by the business. The business would expand the operations as the demand for the
business increases in the market.

Delicious Caterers would be primarily in the field of Catering foods and beverages in wedding
programmes, anniversary, birthday, and funeral and office functions. The wide portfolio of

Background/Findings
The key operations of the company would be in the Australian region whereby the
company would be domestically operating the various operations of the company. The
operations of the company would grow internationally once the market penetration for the
various products and services gets in line with the operations of the business. Various range of
foods and beverages alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be some of the prime highlight
of the company. The industry demand for the hospitality service sector in Australia has
been growing phenomenally with the aim of quality foods and beverages served to the
consumers (Bohle et al., 2017).
