RESEARCH METHODOLOGIES Research Design Research design is a kind of a framework which is majorly used or selected within a research for selection of research methods and techniques. It helps a researcher in explaining type of research which is being carried out and its sub- types. In order to develop a final research design, research onion can be used which would further help in explaining research philosophies, approaches, strategies etc. in a proper manner (Sahay, 2016). Research onion consist of five layers that helps in selection of appropriate research design. 4
Figure1Research onion Philosophies: It is a set of principles that are related to source, nature and development of knowledge. It is about the way or manner in which data should be collected, used and analysed. Research philosophies are majorly divided into two major groups: interpretivism and positivism. Positivismdealswithassumptionthatindependentofthesubjectbeingstudiedwhereas interpretivism deals with observation of an individual that has their own perspective and understanding. Here researcher will be using interpretivism research philosophies as it is one of the most suitable and best approach for qualitative study. Approaches: research approach deals with assumption of steps though which data should be collected and analysed. It is of two types: deductive and inductive. Deductive approach is based upon hypothesis development for literature review whereas inductive approach is used by the researcher to create a new theory with the help of observations made by the researcher. In this research, researcher will be using inductive approach as it is one of the best suitable approach for qualitative studies. Strategies: Strategies are based upon data required within a research and purpose of the study. Strategies within a research includes: action research, experimental research, interviews, surveys, case study research or a systematic literature review(Melnikovas, 2018). For this study research have used survey as a research strategy in order to collected primary data for the study. 5

Choices of methods: it is extremely important to choose an appropriate method for completing a research in a proper manner. There are three main types of methods such as: mono-method, mixed method and multi-method. For this study mono- method will b used i.e. only one method will be used to complete the study in an appropriate manner. Time Horizons: it is related to time frame of a research. There are two main type of time horizon: cross-sectional and longitudinal. Cross- sectional is used when all the observations are for single point of time and longitudinal is used when observations for a variable are available for several years, quarters, months or days. Fir this research cross- sectional time horizon is used. From the above selected methods, it has been selected that for this research exploratory research design will be used that helps in exploring a specific area of a research. Methods chosen from research onion also suits this research design in an appropriate manner. Data Collection Data collection is a kind of a process with the help of which required data for a research is gathered and measured in a specific manner so that it is used for answering the research questions and reaching to a specific conclusion. There are majorly two main types of research methods:primaryandsecondarydatacollectionmethods(GreenandThorogood,2018). Secondary data is a kind of data that has already been used and is published within books, research papers, articles, journals and others. Whereas primary data is a kind of data which is collected by the research for the first time for the research. There are various kinds of methods with the help of which primary data can be collected such as: questionnaire, survey, focus group, interviews and by many other ways. for this research both primary and secondary data collection methods will be used. Secondary data will be used for Literature review in order to built a base for the research whereas primary data will be used for answering the research questions in an appropriate manner. For this survey method will be used for collection of primary data. Data Analysis Data analysis is a kind of process which is used for analysis, inspection, transformation and cleaning of data collected by the researcher so that useful information from it can be collected in order to support decision making and answering research questions. There are two main types of data analysis methods: thematic and statistical. Thematic data analysis is used for qualitative type of research in which collected data is analysed by interpreting patterns of the data so that it can be divided within themes in order to answer the research questions(Padgett, 6
2016). Whereas, statisticaldata analysismethod is used for analysis of quantitativeand numerical data in order to reach to a conclusion. As it is a qualitative type of research in which non- numerical data will be collected so therefore for this research, researcher will be using thematic data analysis method. Validity and reliability issues It is extremely important to address issues of validity and reliability within a research so that it can be made sure that all the data collected for the research as valid and are from reliable sources. In order to increase reliability of the research same research methods are used for increasing reliability of the research. No different methods were used for collection of data for this research. Validity of the research was maintained by: selecting suitable sample method for selection of sample population of the study, none of the respondents were pressurized for data collection. Resources requirement Primary resources required for this research are respondents who will be participating within the research and who are working within the chosen organization so that appropriate and correct primary data can be collected by the researcher. For this survey results will be one of the main required primary resources for the research. Secondary resources required for the research are books, brochures, journals, magazines, newspapers, and books for literature review(Mays and Pope, 2020).
