1.0. Introduction
Ecommerce is term that indicates the type of business that is carried over on an electronic
medium, and involves transfer of information across internet. E commerce is an effective
business platform that has a number of business benefit. However, a number of risks are linked
with the business of ecommerce (Malhotra, 2014). Ecommerce business has gain a lot of
importance in India in the recent years, due to its increasing popularity. However, there are a
number of constraints that is faced by ecommerce business. Most of common business
challenges that are faced by ecommerce business include, identification the right products to sell,
attracting the customers and generation of the targeted traffic. The business of ecommerce is
mainly related to the nurturing of the ideal prospects to gain the business benefit (Khan, 2016).
One most prominent challenge, that are observed by the business of ecommerce include retaining
the customers. It is necessary to analyze the business issues that a business of ecommerce might
face. The research is focused on analysis of the problems linked with business of ecommerce in
India (Reddy & Divekar, 2014). Although the business of ecommerce is growing in an
exponential rate in India, it is crucial to analyze the issues that this particular business might
face. In the following paragraphs, the problem statement, the research objective and the
justification for undertaken this research is provided. It is crucial to identify the objective of the
research in order to work on the conceptual framework of the research study. The research
proposal further provides an idea of the time required to execute a research in a proper manner.

2.0. Problem Statement
The increasing use of information technology have provided a number of business benefit
in ecommerce business in India. The growth of the ecommerce business is largely related
dependent on the use of effective Information Technology.
Ecommerce proves to be a significant reason behind increasing business revenue of India.
The companies like Flipkart, has been a hit in quite a less time. With the success of the
ecommerce platforms such as Flipkart, Amazon in India, there have been an increasing interest
of the business owners towards the business of ecommerce (Omar & Anas,2014). However, there
are a certain issues related to the business of the ecommerce and it is one of the major concern
associated with the business. This is one of the significant problems that are needed to be
addressed. This is one of the significant reasons behind undertaking the research.
The research study is expected to address the above identified problem and therefore, this
particular research study is undertaken. This research is proposed to analyze the major issues that
the ecommerce business faces in India (Patil & Divekar, 2014). Collection and analysis of both
primary and secondary data will help the research personnel, in identification of the major risks
related to the business of ecommerce and will further help in effective management of those risk
(Kabanda & Brown, 2015). The research project is will be collecting primary data for the
research and therefore, it is expected that the major business issues related to ecommerce will be
identified.

The aim of this undertaken research is analysis and identification of the major risks and
the issues linked with the ecommerce business in India. The objectives of the study is identified
in the section above. Specifically, the undertaken research is expected to look into the following
question related to the research.
RQ1:Why is the business of ecommerce gaining importance in India?
RQ2: What are the issues that the ecommerce business is facing right now?
RQ3: What are the possible approaches that can help in reduction of the business risks?
RQ4: What are strategies of improving the business issues related to business of
ecommerce?
The above discussed research questions provides an idea of the expected structure of the
research report. The research structure will be designed as per the identified questions and the
research objectives. The following section of the report provide an idea of the justification
behind execution of the research.

4.0. Justification of the Project
It is quite necessary to justify the need of execution of the undertaken research project in
order to analyze the major risks and the issues related to the business of ecommerce. It is quite
necessary to analyze the major issues related to the business. The research aims in analysis of the
major business risks linked with the business of ecommerce.
The ecommerce business make use of Information Technology in management and
controlling the business. Ecommerce is gaining a lot of popularity in the recent years mainly
because it provides the customers the flexibility of purchasing products from home (Reddy &
Divekar, 2014). However, the major issues that is faced by this particular business is needed to
be analyzed. Therefore, this particular research has been undertaken, which can significantly
help in understanding the major issues that the business can face (Cavalcante, 2014). Some of the
most common risks, to which this business is exposed to include the risk of data loss, privacy
and confidentiality risks and others (Reddy & Divekar, 2014). The data confidentiality is a major
risk to which this business is exposed to as it is mainly related to the data of the customer
(Boneva, 2018). Research questions and the objectives of the research are identified, which
indicate that the research that has been undertaken is feasible. Apart from that, this particular
research study has a number of other benefits as well (White, Afolayan & Plant, 2014). The
research study will provide a detailed view of the business issues related to ecommerce and
therefore, this particular research study can be considered as justified. Since the research aims in
business benefit, the research is expected to be beneficial for the business executives (Agboh,
2015). With the successful completion of the project, it is possible to improve the business
operations related to ecommerce (Almeida, Santos & Monteiro, 2014). Thus, it can be said that
