INTRODUCTION
In this report, it will discuss about the work life balance concepts that require to maintain
coordination in between home and work. It always consists of individual working needs and
allocated specific time for work. It ensures to balance the proper coordination for completing
task within deadline. Furthermore, it will describe about the different type of qualitative method
technique that uses for collecting information about work life balance and also determine opinion
or view point of people according to their personal experience.
PART 1
Literature Review
According to Sánchez-Vidal, Cegarra-Leiva and Cegarra-Navarro (2012) said that work
life balance is a term that mainly used to refer the policies that strive achieve greater
complementarity and also balance between home responsibilities or work. The policies are
applied to all type of employees at workplace, not just for working married men. It is particularly
judging their own ability to combine with both family and working life. As per (Boiarintseva and
Richardson (2019) argue that work life balance is commonly used as comprehensive expression
to describe the policies and procedures but now extend beyond family. It refers to flexible
working arrangement that allows for married men to balance between personal and working
responsibilities. It mainly preferred due to fact that need find out experiences of men and more
progressive framework in which to think new ways for satisfying the working.
Mantri, Kale and Patel (2019) said that the negative side of work life balance between
family interaction where it will increase lack of communication with family members. It mainly
occurred of employees, men who always busy in their office work. The responsibilities towards
family is important than outside but it have started to deliberate on the essence of work life
balance. On the other hand, Jones, Mlcek and Bridges (2019) working men cope with the work
life demands and also identified that working men with either disabled children because they
don’t give proper time for children’s and support in both physically and mentally. It will generate
a lot of issues and problem in family due to lack of interactions in proper manner. Schwartz and
et.al. (2019) said that it needs more time for children but men showing their work frustration on
children and increase conflict between them. Bourdeau, Ollier-Malaterre and Houlfort (2019)
collected the information through qualitative method and identify that work conflict had strong
which effects for both males and female. It also indicating that there are 399 dual earner couples

and doing work according individual’s level but it will increase conflict of work family. In this
way, it suggested that boundaries of family becoming more permeable as demand of work.
Babić and Talbot (2019) An effective work life strategy, life quality and work conditions are
mainly focused on the earner families. Sometimes, work conditions are different among genders.
In families, the husbands prefer working for long hour but women prefer part time. In this way, it
will increase the conflict between both women and men at homes. They are not properly giving
equal time to their children. Men are stressed due to work load that affects on the level of moods
which directly affects on the families. Yu (2019) On the other hand, it was challenging in Work
life balance of married man and important for employee to maintain their own healthy life
balance among work and private place. Usually employees who have better work life balance
because they are contributed towards success of business. in this way, organization provide
better quality of services to customer by having generate more productivity. Therefore, family
changes that impact on the work life balance of men in todays life in terms of nuclear families.
Earning parents, working parents and single households at multiple location. In this way, it will
increase household work.
As per (Crawford, Thompson and Ashforth (2019) male worker perception towards work
life balance is different and its relation with the job’s satisfaction. In this way, it emphasized that
every work life balance factor on its own predicator of job satisfaction. It will increase
significant gap between men and women with the reference of factors that consider in work life
balance. As a result, it can be determined that male worker of HR always improve the
commitment towards their colleagues and designing an effective process of recruitment and
retention. Tamilselvi and Uma (2019) argue that quality of work life balance by using strategic
planning that working men implement in their specific task which important to help them and
maintain work life balance equally in both at home as well as work.
According to Soni and Bakhru (2019) said that government has needed to implement
work life balance policies in order to improve different aspects of opportunities. It including the
combine family life and work, reduce occupational segregation. It can be found that employment
rate increasing from 51% to 60% in 2015. Furthermore, it helps for working men to do flexible
working practices. In terms of flexible working which may include type of leaves, time hour and
medical benefits etc. these types of policies will improve work life balance of employee, who are
working in the organization. Brue (2019) said that the policies are recognised and implemented

in various type of companies and give equal treatment of both male or female. As per evidence,
it has been found that father plays important role and responsibilities in families where it
provides paid paternity leave during their partners of maternity leave.
Kelliher, Richardson and Boiarintsev (2019) work life balance polices so far it has been
increased issues of working fathers or men because its direct targeting the men through
entitlements of statutory for successful men. The choice working men have spending time with
their children but they are limited options due to work pressure and earning of more money.
Working men desperately earning a lot of money and they have owned choice to spend some
time with families. Furthermore, parental leave is considered an effective approach that help to
balance work life which needs of working men. It also indicates that men in low social economic
standards that have fewer great opportunities to avail its own work life balances through policies.
It does not imply any type of benefits and loss of pay at workplace.

Identify the qualitative methodology for researching men’s work life balance and also determine
philosophical that useful.
The qualitative research methodology is based on the descriptive analysis for identifying
relevant information and data about the work life balance of men. in this way, it also reveals
about importance and effectiveness of work life balance practices along with awareness of
professionals. In order to identify the data collection through primary and secondary by
implementing qualitative method such as questionnaires (Poggesi, Mari and De-Vita, 2019). In
additional to interviews, group discussion and many more.
The qualitative research methodology is useful in terms of philosophical because it can
analyse overall information which critically evaluate the reliability and validity of men’s work
life balance.
Discuss about qualitative research techniques such as unstructured interviewing and focus
groups.
There are different types of qualitative research technique useful for collecting and gathering
information about the work life balance. It can be divided into different groups:
Semi-structured interviewing
It is a type of method for data collection that used in qualitative methodology, where it is
meeting in which interviewer and does not follows to formalise list of questions that asked to

other respondents. In order to ask questions because it will guide to analyse depth understanding
towards work life balance.
Structured interviewing
It simply focused on the candidates that applying for same job while it shows the
structured interviews that predictive performance of candidates (Ganesan, 2019). In this method,
questions are based on open ended. It is based approach to identify the knowledge about the
men’s work life balance.
Focus groups
It is process or method of qualitative research method because it directly communicates
with the participants for conveying their own experience, view points and personal thoughts. It is
also known as data driven that mainly used questionnaires for finding proper solution.
In context of men work life balance study, it can be determined the unstructured
interviewing applicable by using questionnaires to ask question of respondents. It uses for
collecting relevant information related case study.
Discuss about target population and sampling, covered ethics in study.
In this study, it is mainly targeting the working employees, who are participating a specific
role at workplace. They are giving their own experience where how to handle the problem and
issues regarding among families (Khan, Ahmad and Butt, 2019).
Sampling is basically group of people where researcher targeting to collect relevant
information about the case study. In this way, it can be measuring sample representative of target
populations. It ensures that generalise finding from entire sample.
Ethics are important concept in the research study where it should maintain the
confidentiality level of data and information. All type of participants always honest and respect
for intellectual property of other. In this way, ethic is important concept that maintain conflict
among participants. It also helping to provide equal rights during study.

As per discussion, it concluded work life balance concepts that require to maintain
