Introduction
The aim of this report is to provide a reflective account of the various stages in
the business project that has been executed by me along with other teammates.
The business project has contributed immensely to personal learning processes
and experiences. The reflective journal has been contributed to the students and
the learning is co-operation of the team in the different phases of the business
research project. This project is analyzed with the topic selection, problem
identification, topic approval, literature review, and methodology.
Being an Australian the research has been conducted by me where I mainly
focus on the least number of students getting a job and the main reasons are the
language barriers, culture barriers and inexperienced (Andrade 2006). Its only
34% of the people of foreign origin are getting jobs in Australia so there is a huge
gap in terms of passed outs and employed people in Australia. The international
students are completing their studies in a country like Australia, the USA and
achieve the degree successfully but it is being difficult for finding employment in
Australia.
Topic Identification
The topic that I have selected for the research is the employability of International
Students in Australia. This topic has always been a constant thought in my
subconscious mind. I have observed that students are eager to immigrate to
different countries for higher studies and getting a better job placement. Student's
preferable destinations are America, Australia, Germany, UK, Japan, and France
and so on. The students are completing courses successfully and achieving
degrees but the employability of the international student’s remains in the
question (Akanwa 2015).There is a huge gap in the Australian economy itself
which makes such a vast difference between the graduates and the employment
opportunities. The nation took this sector of education as a source of foreign
earnings without much to do in terms of industry developments which would give
it the needful place for a job in the same economy. The gap is huge and is

expanding. So this makes the study important for me to understand the problems
and address them to resolve the issue since it would have its effects on the
foreign remittances that are flowing in.
Problem definition
According to the research findings a study reports that the international student
though completing the higher studies in Australia but getting the job a few among
them, as I found. This made the contribution of my topic selection well done since
problems on which the research was made were made clear. The ratio is fallen
from 23001 to 2017 by 120 percent which is about 4.6 million students who are
unemployed in the country. The country hardly represents current statistics in the
21st century about the number of successfully international students can get jobs
in Australia. The country has states some issues for not getting the job of
international students which has been collected from the research that are
cultural differences, language barriers and being inexperienced (Tran and
Gomes 2017). The country has a Visa problem for international students. The
Australian Government has produces 485 visa for living in the country and full
time work for eighteen months only. The job website like Indeed has declared
that the permanent resident of Australia would be able to get the job. So the
international students are suffering and the international markets. However, there
is a lack of study where it clearly points out to the international graduates and
their employment in the business making it a great way to serve the cause of
international students in getting a proper job post graduations. Now, it is
important to understand why the employment of foreign students are so low in
the nation and the kind of future that would give this situation in the long term.
Further, the topic identification is important to understand what the future is going
to be for a solution in the process.
Research Question
While I was researching the problems which had been held with the studies
related to employment issues of international students. My research asks for the

assurance and rubric for the information about the employment of international
students in Australian companies. The fresh graduates are likely to have difficulty
meeting the criteria of the Australian employers as they find at least two to three
years experienced employees for their company. So, the international students
face the placement (Moskal 2017). The research has asked the Department of
Home Affairs who remains unable to provide clear data of the future of the
graduate students currently studying in the country. So generally there is a
question why do the international students would not get the job in spite of doing
graduation and post-graduation in Australia? However, here the challenge was to
get a reply from the government so a secondary study was conducted to get the
figures from various sources.
Topic approval
The visa option can create an opportunity for international students to stay in the
country temporarily and work there without any prior experience. I could
persuade my fellow team members to work on this which would give us a better
overview of the case and its various aspects. Hence the team's consent for the
same was received and we went ahead with the discussion on the same.

The search process has been conducted by surveys related to employment in
Australia. Several models have been discussed which are the evidence of the
employability process of the students such as the USEM model, conceptual
framework on the employability model, career EDGE model for the graduates.
The problems related to the employment of international students have grown
from 2001in which 4.6 million graduates have been increased in the year 2017
and the unemployment figure is increasing by twelve percent every year (Zlatkin-
Troitschanskaia, Shavelson and Kuhn 2015).
The outline was developed on how the literature review should proceed. Here, I
considered employability is a skill that is based on the skill, attributes and
managing ability of the job in the organization. The data type is also made based
on the research topic and its intended outcomes for the business which makes
the data set valid for the research at hand. The other part of this was my reading
of various materials which gave me an insight into the policies of getting students
in for the higher education in the nation but the kind of employment opportunities
those are been created simultaneously. This made the idea of why foreign
students come in and what are the expectations so that those can be highlighted.
The reasons for such unemployment or the economy’s ability to absorb them or
the gap those are existing those needs to be improved are all part of this review
which made the issues for such low employment clear since the growth of the job
market to the students coming are un-proportionate making the scope of
employment low for the foreign students travelling in. This also got my focus into
the trends that may occur due to the decline of student coming in if such goes ion
with the economy from various sources.

USEM Model
It is used for being the popular model of employability through which I can get the
employability assets which is including the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of the
employees in the organization.
The basic theory of this model is the level of employment which is considered by
the demand level of the aggregate. Now if the job in the markets of Australia has
no opportunity for this bunch of foreign students then it’s a waste of the
resources for those who are coming in to study.
Based on the aforesaid the literature review was discussed, as I thought is at per
with the organizational values. So the impetus they have for an Australian college
degree would fade out soon if the ways stay this way where the employments
post-graduation is not well managed or held by the campuses. If not Australian
jobs international jobs too are less in numbers due to the economic pressure of
each nation to give their people the benefits first over others.

Conceptual framework employability model
This model is about to frame the teachings in the universities of the subjects
whether relevant to the market demand or not. According to Bridgstock, the
curriculum should as per the current demand of the Australian business market
where the students must be learning with co-operative learning, under the
supervision of the mentors and learning with integrity (Peeters et al 2019).
The career EDGE Model
Dacre and Sewell in 2017 have proposed the model and the model is successful
as this is included the employability along with the career development learning,
experience, degree, knowledge subjects, understanding skill. Employability is not
the same as employment refers to the graduate candidate to get the job (Tran
and Gomes 2017). The primary reason is the students do not get the practical
developed skills.
Outline design of the literature review
The job website mentioned in Australia of recruiting permanent citizens of
Australia in the company and it was filed as a big case. The company later on
claims of the cultural barriers and the differences, language barriers for not
recruiting international students to the organization (Andrade 2006).

At the time of doing the research, I notice that the universities are delivering the
Students training in order to get the advantages of applying for a job. The
universities are guiding the students for making the CV for their job with the
proper format. The universities perform various sessions that are related to the
profession selection of the students as they can make them better and expertise
in their filed.
Methodology
Design
The research has been designed with the qualitative research method and the
data has been collected in the form of figurative and numeric. The data can be
stored in the form of information which would be analyzed and tested (Flick
2018). My personal contribution was in designing the model for the research for
the team which I did with good deal of impetus. The idea to use the internet to
keep the cost low for the study was another option I proposed and the team
agreed.
Two types of data have been provided in the time researches which are primary
and secondary data. To get the least amount of biasness the primary data and
the information are performed in the research (Silverman 2016). The advantage
of this method is the self-administration on the collection of the data by the
researcher by self.
Sampling questionnaire design
Being the researcher I have used the sampling technique which is basically the
method of changing the mind of the participants through a different medium. The

mind design and understanding of the participant's mind are essential so it is
required to include in the research (Taylor, Bogdan and DeVault 2015).
The implication of the data analysis and interpretation
The research is designed with the purpose to filter the common and unique
feedback from the participants which are received by the researcher and will be
listed for the purpose of saturation technique. The participants while response
the same the response will increase and I will stop for further data collection
(Glesne 2016). The researcher in this way would be able to collect the different
responses which are helpful to listed in a separate way. The analysis of the
businesses in education makes it a good resource for the educations in Australia
to conduct itself for the best of student’s interests. The entire team reviewed the
data and had their own inputs coming in so that the answers are well studied and
noted for the group to go ahead. The challenge was that not all were equally
ready to do what was to be done and had conflicts but those were resolved
making the objective for the research clear which aligned the team. This gave me
a good exposure to teamwork as well as various dimensions to do research to
understand its various aspects as well as the ways to proceed with the research
topics in future.
Conclusion
The research is expected to meet all the answers for international students to not
getting a job in Australia. This research has interpreted all the requirements that
are required for the graduates to be employed in companies. The research aims
to answer all the initial level quarries to the students with the data by
demonstrating the literature review and methodology.
