The analysis done provided important information for management to see how both the
centres were performing.

The table above consists of descriptive statistics involving two variables, one categorical:
type of replacement staff and another quantitative variable: Median call time? which consists
of information about the median of the call times of employees. The descriptive statistics
calculated shows that the average median call time for original employees is 3.35 and the
average median call time for the replacement employees is 2.88.

The total number of Original employees in the call centre was 100 and the total number of
replacement employees was 115. The difference in the average of median call times showed
that the replacement staff had lower average median call time then the original staff by 0.47.

From the descriptive statistics, the sample size for original staff employees for call centre 2 is
106 and their average median call time is 3.38 minutes. The sample size for the replacement
staff in call centre 2 is 109 and their median call time is 2.89 minutes.
