TASK Career planning is a proactive approach that an individual can use to plan their own career. What are your career goals and developmental actions to achieve these goals? What are your limitations and/or weaknesses associated with your ability to achieve your career goals? What changes can you make in the future to address your limitations and/or Weaknesses? The career planning is comprises of two words i.e. Career and planning. Planning is done to achieve the career goal and objective is defined as the career planning. It helps me to shape the progress and potential to hold the higher performance (Furness, 2020). It ensure me career growth opportunities where I can build strong relation with one or more organisations. Career planninginvolvesmentalprocesswhereI can makemy own judgement, decision and imagination to perform the managerial activities effectively and more efficiently. It helps me to decide the future action before dealing with such action. It provides mefuture need and aspiration to choose better career option which promotes my learning skills and knowledge. I can achieve these goals through effective action plans.The setting up of goals is initial process to achieve success in life. Firstly, I identify my career goals to become more productive and accurate to focus towards my objective.In order to achieve these goals, I use to break my goals into short term and long term objectives to manage all the activities that ensure my success. I use to designedcareer map to accomplish my goals in a specified time. Career development improve my skills and motivate me to manage my work efficiently. In order to achieve my career development. I use smart method and technique to measure my progress. Also , I focus on my skills and knowledge which helps me to execute in real world. I also review my progress by regularly observing my skills.
Barriers/Limitation to Effective career goal As an individual, there are certain limitation that prevent me to implement the plans successfully. These limitation hinder me to achieve my goals due to : Lack of Communication skills:This is one of the biggest weakness that I want to overcome my public speaking fear because of lack of communication. Lack of Leadership skills:It is necessary to strategies the vision along with the team through effective leadership quality which helps to achieve career goal. Such qualities hinder me to make effective career planning . Lack of focus :Many distraction avoid me to focus towards goal, which I set to achieve the target. Lack of focus prevent me from reaching the desired objectives. In order to overcome my limitation that create obstacle in between my career, I have to implement new strategies that can improve my set goal (Jiang, 2021). I can improve by building more confidence in me to develop communication skills and leadership quality and analysing myself by reviewing my progress. I can convert my weakness into strength through continuous practice and learning.
