1. Introduction
Engineering is arena of science and the job which involves to take the scientific
understanding of the world also use it for invention, designing and building things to solve
the complications also accomplish the practical objectives [1]. There are a huge list of careers
in this field such as Agricultural engineer, Software engineer, Hardware engineer, Civil
Engineer and many more. In this project, the research of the engineering industry, careers in
this industry, required skills for this in Australia are discussed. After graduation, how career
goal is set for this, is also discussed in this project.
2. Discussion
2.1. Engineering industry in Australia
Engineering is one of the rapidly growing also the most exciting industry now a days
that can offer fresh graduates important potential of earning, constancy in job and sufficient
personal pleasure. In Australia, there is a huge skills crisis can be noticed, but the situation is
little better for the industry of engineering. The skills of the engineer have been in the strong
demand over the past period for the huge part of the mining industry and the government of
Australia invest in the betterment of the infrastructure. For this mining industry, the levels of
employment of engineer are rising day by day in Australia. This engineering is not ruled by
the market of single labour for single skill but many labour markets trained by the exact
engineering skills also levels of experience [2]. The building and minerals also energy sectors
create the great amount of the activity of engineering and worth in the recent year. In the
Australia, there is a huge job loss noticed in the various industries, but in the engineering
industry, the outlook for the engineers remains positive.

2.2. Careers in Engineering in Australia
The wide industry of engineering includes an array of the opportunities. Most of the
engineers concentrate on the distinct specialization like civil, chemical, aerospace, software
or hardware engineering. The positions of engineering mainly require the bachelor degree in
the engineering or any related field. Some of the jobs of engineering mainly in management,
the master degree is essential. Many of the engineers have a great careers working with the
critical advantage technology [3]. In the year 1980’s, the engineers immediately get the
required job after graduating from the University. Since 1990s, the career of an engineer has
not so straightforward. The jobs are moving from the public to the private sector. The
employers tendency for hiring only those candidates who have the minimum five years
experienced that is industry standard. But from the year 2011, the careers for the engineers
who just graduated from any University became better.
