INTRODUCTION
Knowledge, skills and experience are the most important thing for a graduate person,
who wants a good job in reputed company (Bakker, 2018). This report will help in analysing
career development plans of a person. In this report I will analyse the marketing profession in
travel and tourism industry. This report will contain general trends which affect marketing in
travel and tourism and it also various competencies required for this profession.
Analysis and Applications
General trends which impact Marketing in Travel and Tourism
In travel and tourism industry various trends are present which affect Marketing
profession. Globalization and new technologies create great impact on travel and tourism. So
some trends which impact on marketing profession in travel and tourism industry are as follows;
Globalisation-
Organizations are increasing their geographic reach in various location through which they can
achieve high customer base and due to this increasing globalisation of my desired job profile
their expectations from the selected candidate has been increased. Thus in order to ensure my
selection for the appropriate position I have to increase my efforts in learning new skills and
talents such that I can fulfil all their requirements and through which chances of selection can be
increased. This is important because since the geographic reach is increased in other area thus the
selected employees must be analysing the ground level work environment of the new location
and should also be able to develop efficient relations with the customers, through which chances
of brand switching can be reduced. Due to this I should increase my knowledge of the different
languages and improvise communication skills.
Technological-
Increasing technological advancement is necessary for the organization because through this it
can establish synchronism among different departments, due to this factor it should also increase
engagement with changing technological advancements through this can ensure that employee
able to work as per the requirements and is familiar with the utilization of these technologies.
Thus in order to achieve this employee must learn new improvements happening all across the
globe through reading books and online information sharing platforms, which will empower of
the current ways through which the improvisations are being made. With the effective utilization
of learning employee can make sure that they are able to work as per the organizational
