ANALYSIS AND APPLICATION General trends affecting retail industry My choice for making professional career in retail industry is affected by significant changes. One of such change is globalisation and increasing role of technology in retail sector. Mostofthesuccessfulorganisationsinretailindustryareundergoingintocomplete transformation based on digital technology. It will also affect my goals for professional development. Since most of the job roles in retail industry demands for sound knowledge of social media, communication skills and technology I will also require to develop my skills accordingly. Another popular trend which is becoming an integral part of the retail industry is that most of the customers in this segment are demanding for customized products and quick access to services. Thus for achieving success in retail it is also mandatory for me to enhance my capabilities to understand consumers and their specific needs (Pantano and Vannucci 2019). The professional in retail industry must be ready to accept changes along with good communication skills. One trend which has completely changed the retail industry processes is globalisation. Due to multinational companies most of the retailers face fierce competition in the market. Thus for long term sustainability and success it is required to adopt good quality, expertise and innovation so that an individual or an organisation can gain competitive advantage. With increasing competition along with quality and innovations it is also one of the priorities for retailers to give priority to environmental and economic sustainability. Thus leading service providers and emerging professionals in retail industry are not only seeking innovations but are also emphasising resource management, quality control and project management techniques.
Instead of adopting traditional methods or techniques of business processes organisations and professionals in retail sector are adopting modern solutions such as digital technology and operational management principles along with Omni channel marketing concept (Ro., Balaji and Nguyen, 2020). Retail industry has high potentiality of growth and development which will enhance my career parameters on various scenarios relatively. While working towards gaining job in retail industry i will look forward to the post of manager, where i can use my leadership skills variably and develop dynamic working talents in various fields. The post of manger will gain me insights on building flexibility and time management skills to take quick decisions on time within the targeted periods, with interpersonal skills as part of training programs for employees i will able to guide my teams efficiently .Retail industry has various paradigms of development for personal growth, career advancement and yielding advance knowledge which will promote me in my professional life. Retail companies all over world have huge opportunities of growth in the competitive world, where innovation and creativity makes procedures highly effective. The relative growth and research breakthrough will help me in gaining new insights of technology, innovation within technology departments. Retail companies not only hold high functional attributes of productive efficiency, while working as manager i will be able to gain strong practical knowledge on various fields (Giri, Thomassey, and Zeng, 2019). Skills and knowledge required Whileapplyingfor jobatmangerin retailindustrywherecompaniesarehighly competitive in growth factors, the skills i must hold are interpersonal communication skills, which will benefit me establishing strong standards of communication within all departments and within my team members. Further i look forwards to gain numeracy skills for analyzing data and graphics received from various sources, which will help me in strong decisions within internal and extern al environment. Research and analysis skills is another important component which is highlyimportanttowork inretailcompanyindustry,asthecontinuousevolvingnature pressurises managers to build innovation with creativity factor to gain customers satisfaction among all products and services. Another skill is of marketing decisions which enable companies to gain strength based on latest trends and campaigns must be held with detailed research factor, keen energy must drive company towards high growth parameter. EVALUATION According to my different skills, abilities and knowledge, currently manager is the most appropriate job role to me within retail industry. Currently I have those all qualities which a manager has required in their job role. I believes that, I can easily manage different things this industry. I really want become a successful manager within retail industry. A manager of this industry always need to put their huge efforts in their daily operations to systematically manage each and every thing. In this situation, I’m enables to put my huge efforts in the terms of managing different things properly. Currently the retail industry has gained the largest market share in all over the world (Karttunen, 2018). It means, this industry has very large scope. A manager of common retail company is also always need to give command and direction to many employees. That’s why a manager needs be more and more active in its job role to properly manage people within daily operations. Currently I have many skills, abilities and knowledge which will support to well perform in the job role of manager in retail industry. For example; communications skills, decision-making skills, problem-solving abilities, conflict management abilities, time management skills and technical knowledge etc. These all skills and knowledge are enough to me for becoming a successful manager within retail industry.
Currentlyeffectiveinteractionvaluesaretoonecessaryforbuildingproductive relationship between company and customers. On the other side, these values are important in improving employee relations as well. my existing interaction values are very effective, because I’m able to impress different people with the support of my productive interaction values. I prefer this job role of those all people who has many management skills and abilities. According to my knowledge, those people are highly need to make career in management field who has extra-ordinary management abilities and skills (Wu, Rivas and Chen, 2019). I continuously am putting huge efforts for more developing my different abilities. It is really necessary task to me, because effective well-developed management skills will support to easily manage different situations and conditions within retail industry. A manager is playing great role in this particular industry from many years, in which this is not a new job role within this industry. A retail company or business can’t achieve its decided objectives on time without a manager. Currently each retail organisation is giving higher priority to only that candidate in their hiring processes who has effective management skills. In this situation, these organisations will definitely hire me, because I have very effective abilities, skills and knowledge. I am sure that I will properly manage different things within this industry because of extra-ordinary managerial qualities. I have one another productive quality that, I never stop learning new things. I always like to learn different things for my personal and professional development. There is personal development is too necessary for performing well in the job role of a manager. I believe that my these all existing management skills and abilities will help me to effectively manage different things within the retail industry
