an organisation. With reference to HRM, it implies managing people within the firm. The roles
along with liabilities of HR professionals involve hiring, selection, employment, recruitment,
deploying, training as well as development. This report will emphasise on personal analysis with
respect to skills that are needed via an individual for becoming successful within their
professional life that denotes their career. Apart from this, career action plan will be illustrated

For pursuing career in the field of HRM, it is important that individual have certain skills
and competencies through which they can attain their liabilities in an effective manner. The
person need to possess relevant as well as necessary knowledge of peculiar field that intends to

possess wide range of capabilities, skills and knowledge for attaining each need according to
their profile for making sure that each aspect is covered as per desired standards. Being a
graduate, this becomes crucial that relevant skill set enhanced and new capabilities are developed
so that career of HR professional can be elevated. Therefore, it is important for an individual to
gain knowledge related with abilities, skills and competencies with laying excessive emphasis on
the environment to make sure that desired job in field of HR will be pursued. The skills that are
needed for this are mentioned beneath:
HR profession must possess optimized communication skills that comprises of speaking,
listening along with writing for making sure that liabilities are implemented in effectual way. In
this context, I feel that I possess that enhanced communication abilities. I have adequate abilities
as well as skills for actively listening to people and gaining understanding related with their
opinions and view point. This will enable me to have assistance for carrying out analysis of

complete situation with reference to viewpoint of other people. It becomes important for people
to listen actively so that the perspective must not be inferred or concluded in wrong manner
(Keller, and et. al., 2014). In similar way, writing along with speaking skills are essential for
individuals and for HR professional it becomes crucial for maintaining affirmative relation with
employees. This will enable them to make sure that work or responsibilities are conducted in
efficacious manner. Downfalls might occur in each and every firm in context of situations that
might occur in the marketplace. In addition to this, alterations might takes place within
governmental policies and procedures which means that accordingly HR must render their
functionalities. In such kind of conditions, individuals must have relevant motivation and
patience so that they can deal with any type of condition.
The other critical skill that is necessary is critical thinking. Through the assistance of this
capability, I will be able to identify alternative solution for peculiar problem by conducting
analysis along with assessment of strengths and limitations related with present situation. This
will aid within development of effectual decisions by considering practical along with logical
aspects associated with this. It illustrates significance of decision making that will enable within
deciding thee aspects that will lead to welfare of all the employees and organisation on the whole
(Kotler and et. al., 2017). In addition to this, I have presentation skills through which I can keep
my point of view among individuals as well as have relevant knowledge about behaviour of
others. It will further enable to deal with personnel that have unlike behavioural characteristics.
It is crucial that HR professional must have adequate knowledge related with laws,
administration, management, employees and many more. This implies development of strategies
must be carried out in such manner that each employee must be able to render their liabilities in
adequate way (Kotler and et. al., 2016). For being within HR field as well as attain growth, it is
crucial that an individual must opt for 6 month internship from company as this will enable
them to have affirmative goodwill and also have significant experience in the same field.
