This case study analyzes the capacity management approaches and performance objectives implemented by McDonald's. It discusses the use of inventory appraisal, demand management, and level capacity in managing capacity and meeting demand. The study also evaluates the implementation of the four Ds (Design, Direct, Develop, Deliver) by McDonald's and examines the five performance objectives (Quality, Speed, Dependability, Flexibility, Cost) and their significance for the operation. Additionally, the case study suggests solutions to challenges and provides calculations to support the analysis.
