Rational of research:
The present research has been undertaken with an aim to acknowledge the concept of
talent management. It provides significant information regarding value of talent management at
work place that will further help researcher to perform better at work place. In addition,
researcher will be able to formulate proper strategies so that employees get motivated and stay
with company for longer duration. This information is crucial to develop effective understanding
on chosen topic that will resulted to achieve predefined objectives of research in stipulated
period of time. With this, research will be get exponential opportunities to grow and prosper in
professional career.
Overview of topic
Talent management is a crucial aspect of business management which is concerned with
preparation of different strategies in order to manage work force in an efficient manner. This is a
wide concept which includes different activities from recruiting to work force to retaining them
for a longer run (Almaaitah and et.al., 2020). Main aim of talent management is to enhancing
morale of employees so that they stay with company for longer duration. The chosen topic is
related to identification of different strategies in order to motivate work force in an effective
manner.In the current report, Unilever has been selected as company that is a well known
organization of FMCG sector. It deals in foods, soft drinks, soap, personal and beauty care
products. It is headquartered in London, UK. The products of organization are available within
190 countries at global level. It possesses nearly 400 brands at international level. Unilever is
presently working within three different segments such as food & refreshments, home care and
personal care. The present report is based on talent management strategies that are being adopted
by company to motivate as well as retain employees for longer duration.

Importance of research:
It is stated that talent management is one of the emerging topic nowadays that is
concerned with effective management of work force. Now, human resources are considered as
crucial part of company as they put significant efforts for growth of business. So, this research
topic has been chosen in order to get detailed insights regarding talent management which will
result in improving morale of employees at work place (Cross Walker, 2020).
In addition, this topic is helps human resource manager to deal with different problems
related o work force in an efficient manner. It is stated that talent management is a process which
is concerned with hiring as well as selecting right candidate for improving value of business.
This experience will further assist researcher to perform different job roles and responsibilities in
correct way.
Concept of talent management is vital to motivating employees so that they work for
growth and success of business. In addition, main objective of talent management is to retain
work force for longer duration in terms of getting higher competitive edge. Therefore, this is new

According to Damarasri and Ahman,( 2020), motivation is a process to encourage
employees by fulfilling their needs and requirements with an aim to enhance their satisfaction
level. Main aim of motivation is to attain higher level of productivity as well as efficiency of
staff members so that they work for goal accomplishment of organization. It is stated that
motivated employees tend to work in more efficient manner as they work for meeting their
unsatisfied needs. There are a lot of ways can be used by HR managers to encourage work force
such as monetary and non monetary. First, they need to analyze requirements of different
individuals to fulfill their needs and requirements.
According to Valène Jouany & Kristina Martic, (2020) In talent management motivation
plays a crucial role as it has become the recent need to manage talent at work place. In current
business environment, motivation is highly imperative to retain work force for longer duration.
In addition, it is also helpful to keep employee motivated towards work so that they perform task
with higher efficiency. Now Hr managers first analyze requirements of work force in an effective
manner and then prepare appropriate strategies to bring their full efficiency at work place. Here,
they also provide necessary recognition, acknowledgement to employees in order to encourage
them to work towards organizational growth and success. Further, they also welcome
suggestions of work force and encourage them to come with more better suggestions in
upcoming years. They also give appropriate rewards to ensure significant contribution of
employees in growth and success of company. Therefore, concept of motivation is vital in talent
management and help organization to ensure futute growth and success. Further, it will be
helpful in terms of enhancing value of entity and gaining higher sustainable competitive edge at
work place.
