INTRODUCTION Sustainable Tourism Development refers to conception of tourism in various of places andtrying to put good effect on the environment economy and community(Moscardo, 2008). Fromprevious time the following terminology has been increasingly in travel and tourism sector atnational and international level. Here, three pillars of sustainability: economic, environmental andsocial culture. These three areas make the tourism more sustainable in all aspects. It actually givesbenefit to everyone who is involving in sustainable tourism activity either direct or indirect manner.The present research define some significance of it, case study of Philippine tourism industry istaking into consideration. As per the given scenario, in 2015, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyoafter visiting some other destinations he wanted to hoist tourism of Philippine. At the time of visitat the Tubbataha Reef, the president took some pictures of underwater, she was smiling whilegetting diving mask, she hold coral branches from the top. On this post, response of the public wasmixed. But there is a challenge of development of sustainable tourism related to environmental andsocial costs in regarding tourism development(Briassoulis and Van der Straaten, 2013). The currentstudy will focus over the rational and different approaches to tourism development and planning,current issues, sustainable tourism and impacts of tourism. TASK 11.1 Stakeholders benefits in planning of tourism developmentsPlanning is based on stakeholder and their efforts makes it successful, stakeholders arehaving huge responsibility for to make a successful planning. These can be insiders and outsiderfrom this industry which is having a direct effect on tourism development.As in Philippines theirPresident Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo wants to increase tourism in their nation so they are makingtheir efforts for this. They are having strategies for to increase, the Philippines is having freshenvironment which can be attract tourist towards it(Gössling, Hall and Weaver, 2009). ThePresident is developing some tourist destinations which is having a large significance in health.These efforts are making direct impact on stakeholders and they can take benefits from it, here is alist which is describing about benefits of stakeholder via developing tourism in Philippines;Government; The Government is having direct profit by increasing tourism development. As the thePhilippines is known for tourism and they are having a large scope in it. As their President wants toincrease tourism, it makes a direct impact on foreign money stock. They can get extra foregn moneyby this and it is increasing their value of money. Public; As per the actions and efforts of the president, they will definitely increase the number of3

foreign tourist. Now this is making a business opportunity for public, most of the peoples wants tobe a businessman and make profits by their business activity(Butler and Hinch, 2007). Person whowants to set up their business can use this opportunity to set up their own business which can berelated to the restaurant, hotels and transportation. So government and public is having direct positive impact by developing tourism, but it is mostimportant to provide facilities for their tourist.1.2 Advantages and disadvantage of partnership in travel industryPhilippines is having a large scope to increase tourism but their government is not havingproper resources to develop this as they want, so they are having a option to make their work asthey want. The government can make partnership with the private sector which can increase thescope of work and speed to complete their work in decided time limit. Private sector is having moreresources and financial support which is much needed for tourism development(Girard andNijkamp, 2009). It is having some advantage and disadvantage for tourism, here is it;Advantages of public and private partnership;Public and private sector partnerships are always supportive to achieve the task in the predecided time periods. Private sector is having a strength to make better development as per the requirements ofgovernment planning. They are having resources like; advance techniques and machinery todevelop sustainable tourism in the Philippines.It is effective for market development because private sector is having potential to make anew market which will be situated near to these new emerging destination. Partnership is increasing opportunities for unemployed candidates in Philippines, most ofthe peoples are unemployed and living in rural areas, this partnership is increasing a chanceof employment for them. Private companies needs manpower for produce their activities andachieve their targets as per the development plan of the government.Disadvantage of partnership;Private industry is having man and money power so they are having more control on tourismdevelopment which is not appropriate to retain public sector's profits in this development.Quality management is get affected, private companies is more concerned about their costand profits so they can make fraud with the government if they are having extra cost as perthey decided in they contract, they can use lower quality material in basic infrastructuredevelopment of tourism destination.4
