This case study examines the approaches of capacity management used by McDonald's to reconcile capacity and demand. It discusses the concepts of level capacity, demand management, and chase demand. The study also analyzes the implementation of the four Ds (Design, Direct, Develop, Deliver) by McDonald's and evaluates the five performance objectives in operation management. Additionally, it calculates the average number of customers arriving at the till and the average wait time in McDonald's Drive-Thru.
