Common Challenges and Barriers Faced by the Students Studying
Abroad
• There are two common challenges and barriers which are
creating a difficulty for the students who are studying in abroad.
Language barrier- it is a huge barrier for the students who are going
abroad for their studies and do not know the foreign language which
creates a difficulty for them to learn. In UK many students came from
the different countries to learn the new things which help them to make
a growth in their career. It creates a difficulty because of the local
language which are used by the tutor as well and could not be elaborate
in that language which know by the students. There are the various
words which are unfamiliar to the students who are not even know the
pronunciation of that word and the meaning as well. For the local there
is a native language which are fine to them and sometimes they do not
even prefer to use the another language which are more understandable
for the new students who came abroad for learning.
Academic practices- it is a barrier which creates a difficulty for the
students, because of the different teaching styles and the different
classroom behaviour. In UK sometimes students gets the projects
and tasks which are almost different from its previous country's
study culture. It creates a major challenge and the barrier for the
students which are hard to avoid. Also, the different kind of the
assessments as well as the requirements which are related to the
project are also difficult for them to understand that in the starting.
