Life skills:
1. An example of life skills that help to manage or control the daily activities such as car
maintenance, First Aid, emergency Preparedness and other driving. These are basically
consider as important approach in regular routine of individual people.
2. Creative thinking among individual people- if someone can share their innovative idea to
the business manager where improving the overall business performance. Another
example is that when increasing market share so that implement or launch a new
product within specific marketing budget.

patience, caring from others, common sense etc.
Social skills:
1. in the workplace, manager will communicate with team members regarding current

exchange information for team members and providing brief idea about the project. On
the other hand, team members were thinking about the information or data which has
been shared by manager.

manages to search for the Flying Scotsman and find a picture of it. He has a model of the
Flying Scotsman in his bedroom. He is very excited that he has managed to search for this
on his own – this opens up a whole new world of trains for him. He turns with excitement to
Jemma who is working with him today. She is busy chatting to her colleague about what

Jonny. As per analysis, it has been examined that Jemma missed the opportunity to learn the use
of internet and access or search information. But Jonny's has improved their learning and use of

with the team?
Skill assessment process is one of the most important approach in term of identify the skill and
knowledge of person. So that it is important for individual people to use them in regular basis.

CASE STUDY: LORETTA
Loretta is a 40-year-old female who experiences disability due to an acquired brain injury
she sustained from a motor vehicle accident.
Loretta uses a wheelchair, lives with her parents and is taken to a day centre on a regular
basis to participate in social activities with staff support.
Loretta enjoys being involved with artwork such as painting as well as playing games with
others. Some of her favourite games include playing cards and Connect 4. She gets along
well with other clients at the day centre and looks forward to her day trips in particular
riding in the car to and from the centre.
Due to Loretta’s physical disability she has limited range of independent movement. She
requires assistance with a sling and hoist when being physically transferred. Although she
lacks the arm strength to help with mobility, Loretta has some range of movement in the
thumb and forefinger of her right hand. Sometimes she can grasp light objects or material
like a pen or light paintbrush using these fingers although it is quite challenging. When able
to grasp onto a light object for a short period of time, Loretta gets excited and appears
happy. When this happens she will often attempt to pick up and hold the item repeatedly.
Being able to develop this fine motor skill would be beneficial in helping her with
completing small tasks and activities more independently both at home and at the day
centre.
When she observes a demonstration on how to complete a task, she is often successful in
replicating the steps required to complete the task. Slow movements and repetition seem
to work well.
1. What is Loretta’s skills development needs and goal?
As per given study, it has been identified that Loretta perform different activities and assists by
instructor to build their skills, to plan for implement learning activities. Initially, she was suffered
from injury so that unable to hold item in their time. But now she will try to improve themselves
and at-least hold light weighted item. In this way, it has been identified that Loretta's practice on
regular basis so that they can improve skills and achieve desirable goal. Sometimes, She was
reviewed individual learning plan, monitor program & achievement against learning goals.
Another way, The skill development need for Loretta's that use appropriate prompting at training
session. Apply reinforce appropriately and demonstrate the use of incidental learning
opportunities. The primary goal of Loretta's is to do perform task by own ways and does not
require for any one help.
Describe the required skill she will need to achieve this goal.
The way in which services are provided to Loretta’s, which has completely changed profoundly
through social model of disability. Basically, service provider should consider person Centred plan

in which provide a holistic approach to skill development. it must ensure that person's social,
emotional and physical is becoming strong. Whenever, Loretta's will try to improve disability and
then perform the task by independently. At that time, Motor skill plays important role in life of
Loretta's because this type of skill will help for influencing towards desirable goals and
achievement. Additionally, service provider is always trying to assist the Loretta's where they can
analyse motor skills, which may give right direction or path. That's why, motor skill Loretta's will
need to achieve their personal goal and improve their physical activities
Moreover, Motor skill is related to the movement, action of muscles. So as Loretta's can build
relationship with other. So that it become great opportunity for Loretta's to interact or
communicate with service provider, participate into different physical activities. At that time,
motor skill will support Loretta's to develop a positive attitude, always focused on achieving goal
or objective.
What person-centred strategies could be implemented to help develop this skill? Provide
three examples.
1. Respecting the individual- It is one of the important person Centred strategy that help to
know patient as person and recognize their unique qualities. For Example- A patient has
belief on their values, beliefs towards doctor. A specialist is not understand if a patient
talk about doctors in regards of treatment. Therefore, it has been determined that
doctor respect the patient and maintain an efficient care plan.
2. Maintain confidentiality- As with any other kind of care method, confidentiality must be
maintained where appropriate. It is not only for Loretta's well-being but it is also helping
to build a trust or create productive relationship. It is one of the commonly used person
centred strategy by establishing with individual and keep record sensitive information or
data.
3. Coordinating care- it is another person centred strategy which help for Loretta's in term
of recovery as smooth or productive manner. It is possible that all service provider staff
member should be coordinating with Loretta's in term of treatment, training. This is
especially relevant for receiving many kind of care. The Unorganized plan can cause
stress, anxiety and confusion or set back in the improvement of skills.
For one of the strategies you have suggested in the previous questions, provide a step-by-
step breakdown of how you would implement the task over time. Include when you might
withdraw certain steps.
Person centred strategy has provided the different benefits, advantage of individual people. in
previous question, it has been suggested three different strategies that will support in the skill
development. Usually, it has been selected "Coordinating care" strategy for Loretta's where
they can help to improve their skills and then perform different tasks efficiency or effectively.
Coordinating/ communication care is one of the important person centred strategy which help
for establishing a strong coordination with service provider and Loretta's at training center. In
this way, Loretta's focus on the improvement of Motor skills while performing small physical
activities in step by step manner.
Staff member of training center has been identified the care coordination with Loretta's and
improve the advancing quality improvement goals. A growing body of evidence support
efficiency of Loretta's. At that time, Loretta's has been build a skill in regards of
communication, inter-personal, which may support for boosting the confidence level.

Sometimes, it might have withdrawn some step by Loretta's, at improve of different activities.
Such as she was unable to do physical tasks. Therefore, it should develop a confidence level in
Loretta's with support for service provider, they always try to maintain a proper coordinating
care.
Describe the communication strategy you would use with Loretta when implementing this
strategy.
Communication strategy is one of the important approach that support for establishing a strong
coordination with people and also understand the specific need or requirement for individual
people. As per given case scenario, it has been identified that service support staff members use
communication strategy in order to interact with Loretta in different tasks, when this strategy is
implementing on regular basis and identify the specific requirement of Loretta.
Communication strategy plays important role that would use with Loretta and intended messages
is successfully delivered, received and understand properly. It is simply that staff support and
Loretta's engage with each other. This means that Loretta's speaking feel heard and understand.
How would you review and measure the success of this strategy?
Measuring the success of strategy which means that engage with Loretta by staff support and
helping to meet their desirable goals. Sometimes, measuring that impact is complicated as well as
complex. Communication strategy is basically exist to help or support Loretta's in the
improvement of Motor skills, discover the enterprise, participate in programs and service. it is
learning from different offers and take important action on the physical disability. There are
different ways to review and measure the success of communication strategy.
Activity Metrics- this type of metric is helping the better way to understand the significant impact
of communication strategy on the Loretta's improvement performance. Activity metric is all about
evaluate the process of producing, sharing the message and whether it is following the workplace
and best practices.
Reach Metrics- it is another metric which help to assess the current need or requirement for
Loretta's whether it is the right way to exchange message in regards of physical activities. It help
to understand the message potentially, carefully putting too much emphasis on reach particular
metrics. This is completely represents the picture of communication strategy and their
effectiveness.
Impact Metrics- it is all about what are actually need or requirement, trying to achieve desirable
goal or objective. When implementing communication strategy with Loretta's, so that it will
require to measure behavior or attitude towards Motor skill development. It is right way to
identify the opinion or view point of Loretta's and then implement suitable action in proper
manner.

Usually, when implementing three different strategies such as person centred approaches but
before it is needed to understand the necessary requirement for Loretta's. All strategy planning
should depend on the current situation or condition. Therefore, it is very important to examine
the positive aspect in motor skill development to achieve desirable goals.
A majorly, Support from staff members who are influenced with different activities of Loretta's

As per given case study, Support from CEO, owner of Training center department which is clearly
communicating the objective of Loretta's with staff members. It should be driven by enterprise
values, vision and also represent clear goals with comprehensive list of essential requirement for

growth of improvement in physical activities.
Support staff member in training center should create or develop appropriate goals, then share
objective with Loretta's. In this way, it is representing how the day to day work of client impacts
the success of skill development. Therefore, it can inspire or motivate the staff members to do
handle different tasks in proper manner.
What other learning activities could you focus on developing with other personnel?
Some of learning activities are consider as passive, and designed to represent the essential
information or data to Loretta's in efficient ways. For Example- include watching video,
demonstration with playing cards. Although different traditional approach or physical activities
influence the Loretta's.
On the other hand, focus on the learning activities whether interaction or involvement with
people in regards of physical activities. It should include listening to, watching a love or record
talk, engaging with a written or visual text. These are typically useful for every personnel to retain
information and represented in different manner. Furthermore, it is also performed the learning
activities in regards of record multi-media content, Asking the personnel to record their response
and find the accurate solution.
As per summarized that different learning activities help to concern about the developing skills
and gain knowledge. In order to support in future to manage or control different tasks in proper
manner.
