in ethnic minorities: a qualitative systematic review. Journal of Transcultural
Nursing, 31(1). pp.87-99.
Summary- The focus of this investigation is to understand the cultural influences related with
childhood obesity in ethnic minorities. A systematic review is conducted in this research by
sampling studies since 2008, including two articles in order to understand the link between
cultural influences and childhood obesity. The conclusion drawn by this research is that cultural
practices such as traditional foods and family lives has a considerable impact in childhood
obesity and need to be considered. The key findings of the research are the significant role of
child feeding, family, gender roles, food, healthy child appearance, physical activity, sedentary
activity, food cost, and obesogenic environment in influencing obesity.
Evaluation- The research paper focuses on one of the more neglected areas associated with
childhood obesity, which are cultural influences of ethnic minorities. This search highlights the
role of providing children care with traditional influences so that they're able to tackle childhood
obesity more effectively. The main limitation of this investigation is that it depends primarily on
secondary sources and does not have primary data to verify the discussions conducted in the
investigation.
Reflection- The knowledge gained from this research will provide new information about how
to deal with cases in which the patient of childhood obesity is from ethnic minorities. The
discussion surrounding childhood obesity in various ethnic minorities provides further insight
into the factors which increases risk of obesity in children and can be used in research
surrounding the contemporary view of obesity and fat bodies.

Summary- This study is centered around the National Child Measurement Program, which is a
government program in United Kingdom focusing on measuring body mass index of children
between the ages of four and 11, in order to identify address children with childhood obesity and
offer advice to parents so that childhood obesity can be controlled in England. This study argues

that Fashion Child Measurement program is regressive government policy which will negatively
affect minority children instead of controlling obesity in England.
Evaluation- The critical analysis included study on the discourse of childhood obesity and
implications of national child measurement programs is conducted effectively. It is evaluated
that the study effectively highlights the cultural discourse surrounding childhood obesity and
overall future impact of policies on challenging childhood obesity in UK. Quantitative
measurement of the impact of national Child Measurement program on Patience is not provided
in this case which is a limitation as it makes it difficult to understand the current impact of the
policy on rate of childhood obesity in England.
Reflection- This is an important source as it will improve knowledge on current and future
impact of government policies on childhood obesity in England. In addition to this, it also gives
idea about the culture and discourse surrounding childhood obesity and how its impact
government policies and legislation surrounding childhood obesity control. Good

Summary- The main purpose of this research is to analyse the role of nutritional, physical and
behavioural activity in order to make intervention for the prevention and treatment of adolescent
and paediatric obesity. The researcher want to find out the effective the way that helps in
reducing the obesity in children and make them healthy in order to live healthy life. The research
is also highlighting the points for the prevention of childhood obesity which includes
intervention program for the parents, decreasing caloric intake, increasing exercise as well as
decreasing the screen time help in reducing the obesity from the children.
Evaluation- After evaluating this research, it is find out that this research is helpful in find out
that the combination of improved nutrition and physical activity helps in fighting the obesity in
childhood or adolescent in all over the world. But this research is failed in finding the ethical
standard in order to improve obesity in childhood and create compliances for get prevention from
it.
