Week 2
The two readings that would be compared and contrasted in this part are that of the
Theology: A Multidimensional Discipline bu John R.W. Stott and Faith Seeking Understanding:
An Introduction to Christian Theology by Daniel L. Migliore (Migliore, 2014). In the first article,
the meaning of theology centers round the understanding the God by both the male and female.
The second article is about the revelation that has been discussed in the Bible. The Church has
revealed some important information about the God and His true nature. It has been revealed by
the author that God is omnipotent, omniscient and He possesses the powers to judge what is
good and what is bad (McGrath, 2016). This reading suggests that it is indeed very important to
know about the God. The knowledge of God is indeed very important for the human beings. The
persons described in this reading have experienced that the God has given them a wide range of
knowledge that would be highly important for them. On the other hand, the first reading
describes about the importance of the Bible in order to acquire the best knowledge about the
God. The fact of revelation has been described here as well but there is a connection between
theology and science (McGrath, 2016). The first reading has its strength in depicting the links
between science and theology. However, it is much weak in establishing the connection between
history and Bible. The second reading is very strong in describing the revealed and hidden truth
about the God. However, its weakness is in presenting the Biblical tradition properly. Both the
books have been extremely effective for me to change the way of thinking for me. I was not a
believer of God initially. However, after reading this book, I have got much interested in
Christian theology and curious enough to know about the God and His truths.

Week 3
The name of the first reading is The Creator God. This reading centers around the
importance and prowess of the God as the creator of this universe. As discussed in the previous
section, God is believed to be of an omnipotent entity who has all the true powers to control the
world. In this reading, the role of the God has been reflected as the creator of the world. The
Christian confession of the faith commences with the belief that God is the Creator. This reading
suggests the fact that the creation of the world to be a divine act indeed. The strength of the
reading lies in the fact that it has manifested the Christian belied of God to be the Creator
according to the Christian faith community (Inge, 2017). The weakness of this reading is shown
when the primary focus has been laid into the faith communities and less focus has been given to
the Biblical interpretations of the matter. The name of the second reading is Faith Seeking
Understanding: An Introduction to Christian Theology. This reading has focused on the Apostles
Creed and its interpretations. The connection between the Christian Faith and Ecological Crisis
has been established here. The strong display of this connection is the strength of this article. The
weakness is in the fact the Biblical teachings have been interpreted in a one-sided manner. This
is why the other ways of interpreting the Bible in this issue has been very problematic from a
number of ways (Inge, 2017). However, the connection has been formed in a diversified manner
since some of the critics have opined and accused Christianity to be the major source of the
ecological crisis all over the world. The connection between the male and female and the human
and nature has been used in this discussion as well.
Week 4
The first reading that has been provided for this week is the Faith Seeking
Understanding: An Introduction to Christian Theology (Migliore, 2014). This reading deals with

the image and perceptions of God that have been shown in the Bible. The relation of the human
beings to that of the Holy Jesus Christ has been established in this reading. It has been said that
the human beings were being created for the good things to be done in the world. However, the
common tendency of the human beings is to commit the sins and the things that are not good. It
has distorted the entire entity of the human beings as well. The imagery of Lady Macbeth from
Shakespeare’s drama Macbeth has been given as the evidence of the distortion of the humanity.
The reading has its strength lying in the fact that the basics of Christian theology have been
connected with that of the human nature. However it is very weak in bringing out the connection
between the traditional and Western theology. The second reading is the Our Nature as Persons
Destined for Community. This reading has brought out the relevance of God and His connection
with that of the human beings. The reading focuses further on the facts of God’s intentions for
the human beings. The strength of this reading is in the interpretation of God’s intention for the
human beings (Migliore, 2014). However, it is weak in bringing out the interpretations for the
social behaviorism and autonomy that are closely related to Christian theology as well. The
importance of the sociobiology has been largely presented in this section because the organism
of survival through the natural selection process would be discussed as mentioned in the Biblical
interpretations as well. Christian theology has also been closely linked with the social attributes
of the individual human beings (Emery, 2012).
Week 5
The name of the first reading for this week is Original Sin and the name of the second
reading for this week is Faith Seeking Understanding: An Introduction to Christian Theology
(Migliore, 2014). The topic of the first reading is about the original sin. This subject is very
closely linked with that of the Christian theology. It has been conveyed in the reading that the
