AI Summary
This geography assignment compares the climate and demography of Germany and Côte d'Ivoire, utilizing population pyramids and climate graphs to illustrate key differences. The assignment contrasts the climates of both countries, highlighting the uniform rainfall in Germany versus the non-uniform pattern in Côte d'Ivoire. It analyzes the demographic patterns, noting the higher birth rate and lower life expectancy in Côte d'Ivoire compared to Germany's older population and higher life expectancy. Furthermore, the assignment identifies consequences for each country, explores key facts from the CIA World Factbook, and draws conclusions about the relationship between cocoa production and chocolate consumption. The analysis reveals that Côte d'Ivoire's climate is more suitable for cocoa production, while Germany's is not. The assignment also includes references to support the findings.

6. Describe the demographic (population) patterns shown in population pyramid
for Côte d’Ivoire.
The population pyramid of Côte d’Ivoire is as shown in figure 2 above. The pyramid
illustrates both the sex and age groups the population from 0 -100 years. According to the
pyramid, the population of Côte d’Ivoire is distributed such that most of the population
consist of young people. This implies that Côte d’Ivoire has a higher birth rate. Furthermore,
the population pyramid of Côte d’Ivoire suggests that there exist few older individuals of age
more than 80 years. Based on this fact therefore, Côte d’Ivoire has a lower life expectancy.
7. Describe the demographic (population) patterns shown in population pyramid
for Germany.
The population pyramid of Germany as shown in figure 1 above illustrate the structure of sex
and age of the. The population structure is further broken into five-year age groups
represented as horizontal bars along the vertical axis. The youngest age groups are at the
bottom and the oldest age group at the top of the pyramid. Based on the population pyramid
of Germany above, the population of age group between 50-54 years is the highest while that
of 100 years plus are the lowest. This implies that Germany’s population mostly consist of
middle-aged and older aged group of people. The pyramid further suggest the Germany has a
higher life expectancy and low birth rate.
8. What are the consequences (+ & -) for each country?
The (+ & -) provides insights concerning the economic development, social stability within
and country and even political well-being of both the countries (Due, 2019). For instance, the
+ in Germany implies high population while (-) for Côte d’Ivoire implies less or reduction in

cocoa and places that consume chocolate globally. Write a series of well-
constructed sentences.
By considering the climatic conditions of Germany and Côte d’Ivoire, it can be asserted that
Côte d’Ivoire has the best climatic condition for the production of cocoa. This is so because
according to the requirements and conditions favouring the production of cocoa, controllable
amount of rainfall is needed (Woods, 2013). Germany has a constant distribution of rainfall
and thus is not suitable for the production of cocoa.
