Presenting the case study
This case study is based on women named Marry who is pregnant and needs a plan for
person centred care. This could be analysed that there is no one with Marry to assist her
personally all the time. Her husband does not live with her because he has job outside the
country and is unable to provide proper care to the woman. This is why, the woman felt bad and
also having various symptoms which indicate some type of disorders. Marry was not diagnosed
with any disease in the past but due to the pregnancy she was lacking physical, mental, emotional
and social support from anyone who can live with her especially her husband. She was not taking
proper diet due to this which was affecting health of her as well as her child who was not yet
born. Her BP was getting low and high rapidly and she was also getting fever again and again as
she became weak enough which made her unable to come out of the bed. She also felt difficulty i
breathing and headache was the regular problem which was faced by her (Tunçalp and et.al.,
2017). This is why, at this time she needs a person centred care which can help her in all the
aspects by completely focussing on her and her problems. This can help in finding suitable ways
and maximising the quality of the care provided.
Step 1: Identifying the clinical scenario
The scenario identified is the Clinical Scenario 2.
Step 2: Secondary assessment of the patient
This can be observed that the care given at the time of pregnancy must be women centred.
There are 4 basic elements which need to be focussed upon which is client, interaction,
professional and organisation. In this case, Marry was lacking support from all the aspects
including physically, mentally, socially, emotionally etc so it is must to provide women centred
care to her at this crucial time. This can be observed that Marry was feeling bad as she was
having some problems like weakness, vaginal bleeding, breathlessness, weight gain and many
other problems. Women centred cared can help in providing maternity care by analysing all the
needs of the patient and her expectations which are defined by herself only. This is why, the
