1. Introduction
Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud computing have different set of purposes. IoT is
the new Internet based revolution which helps to connect billions of devices thus facilitating
the effective communication via the internet (Al-Fuqaha et al. 2015). On the other hand cloud
computing helps to share computing resources by enabling the integration of data available
from different data sources (Rittinghouse and Ransome 2016). The combination of IoT and
Cloud computing together can be extremely beneficial for the different field. This report will
discuss the impact of the Cloud computing and IoT in current industrial trends.
2. Discussion
Cloud computing and IoT are very important branches of computer based
technologies having their own set of application in each field. The advancement of IoT and
Cloud computing tends to open many chances for further development of computer
technologies.
2.1. Application of Integration of IoT and Cloud computing Current industrial
trends
Current industrial trends are the modern technologies which are used in modern
industries. The rapid development in the field of computer science since the last century
contributed to massive development and modernization of the industries. IoT, Cloud
computing and AI are some computer science based technologies which are different from
each other but can be integrated to modernize the industries. The Integration of IoT and
Cloud computing is called CloudIoT (Botta et al. 2016). These various technologies are
utilized in the modern industries for various factors like minimizing human error and
increasing the efficiency of the industries by enhancing the production.

2.1.2. Healthcare industries:
CloudIoT helps to build a new set of smart devices which can be helpful for the
medical industries. Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) is one of the entities of the CloudIoT
which helps in easing the lives of people who are suffering from chronic diseases or who
have physical disabilities (Forkan, Khalil and Tari 2014). Various applications can be
performed in the medical industries by using CloudIoT. It can enhance the quality of the
medical service by collecting accurate information about the patient through various sensors
and series of networks. The software developers are trying to enhance the performance of the
CloudIoT in the field of medical IT which can help to decrease the casualty rate due to
inaccurate data evaluation by humans (Neagu et al. 2017). Cloud IoT also helps to reduce the
cost of medical services. Correct information about the patients is delivered from the medical
centers to the doctor's devices efficiently for quick and proper evaluation of the disease.
2.1.3. Smart city and smart home projects:
Smart city and smart home have the goal of maximum security against any external
threats or malicious attacks; for that, a network of surveillance devices are connected. The
surveillance devices mainly cameras are used for obtaining maximum security. CloudIoT
helps in surveillance in many ways. The maintenance of the surveillance devices can be done
properly by using CloudIoT. The storage of the information by the cameras are also
maintained by the CloudIoT in the smart home or smart cities. The smart home or smart cities
also have some luxury features which are regulated daily by using the technology of
CloudIoT (Kaur and Maheshwari 2016). The majority of the population of a country tries to
live in urban areas. The demand for a safe and luxurious life is making the concept of smart
home and smart city very popular.

2.1.4. Automobile Industry and smart mobility
The CloudIoT helps in the manufacturing of the automobiles in the automobile
industry by increasing the number of production in a lesser amount of time through the
proper use of the machinery. The human workforce is already replaced by robots using
computer based technologies like AI and CloudIoT. CloudIoT can make every industry very
efficient, but the automobile industry is hugely affected by the CloudIoT as every machinery
is automated with the help of CloudIoT. Even the surveying and tracking records are also
done by the CloudIoT by comparing data through the algorithm. Smart mobility is the
opportunity where a car can be driven without the presence of any human driver inside the
car. The concept of smart mobility is now a reality due to the concept of CloudIoT.
According to (Stergiou et al. 2018) the main system which is required for smart mobility is
ITS (Intelligent Transportation System). CloudIoT is the main technology which helped to
produce the software of ITS. The issues like parking problems, traffic jam, can also be solved
by implementing the CloudIoT in the software system of the traffic department.
2.1.5. Smart energy:
Renewable energy like geothermal energy is extracted from geothermal sources like
hot springs and others with the help of some specialized tools and machinery. These tools and
machinery can be controlled by the CloudIoT. Similarly, the extraction of other renewable
energies like tidal energy or wind energy, extracted from the tidal waves and the blowing of
wind respectively can also be controlled by the CloudIoT. Smart energy is generally that
energy which can be reused. The CloudIoT helps to reuse the energies. The solar cell which
is used to trap the solar radiation and convert that into electrical energy can be controlled by
the implementation of the CloudIoT in the system. CloudIoT helps in the processing, sensing
and intelligent management of data used in the smart grids.

Conclusion
From the above report, it is concluded that combination of IoT and Cloud computing
is a very important aspect in the modern industries. The combination of the IoT and Cloud
computing has a huge impact on the current industrial trend. The CloudIoT properly
maintains the database of the patients in the medical field. CloudIoT can also be used in the
smart home and smart city projects. CloudIoT is one of the main software which is used for
the recording the data in the surveillance devices and storing that data in a particular server.
The production in the automobile industry and smart mobility can also be maintained by
using CloudIoT. The system of the smart grids required for extracting smart energy like
solar,tidal and wind energy also uses CloudIoT.
