The global economic upliftment has increased peoplesspending in vehicles. In the recent times people have to struggle to find an appropriate place forparking their vehicles (Polycarpou, Lambrinos & Protopapadakis, 2013). Considering thesefactor, an efficient, simpler and less time consuming car parking models are of utmost need. Thecase study on Collin’s car parking system presents a modernized solution to the present problemsof car parking. The Collins’ come up with much simpler solution for their customers. It is seenfrom the case study that the Collin’s car parking came up with different schemes for theirdifferent categories of customers. In the present date, the office goers as well as the students arein huge rush in the busy hours of the day (Zheng et al., 2014). Keeping in mind this problem,Collins’ came up with different service system with their regular customers and differentservices for normal customers. The Collins’ also kept in mind that the services should be fasterconsidering the huge rush in the peak hours. Easy access and easy exit, simpler mode of payment, maintaining customer satisfaction are someof the factors that the Collins’ considered while designing this car parking model. Otherproblems are also prevalent such as unavailability of car parking plots in the peak hours of day,also it was seen that people found it difficult to park their cars in every hook and corner as it mayhamper their vehicle’s parts (Alfatihi, Chihab & Alj, 2013). If these problems are to addressthese problems a modernized car parking system or model is necessary. In order to develop asmart city a modernized car parking solution is essential.
