This essay talks about Communication skills are critical to effectively implementing
strategy in workplaces. Communication in a work place is very important in the companies as
it helps in allowing the companies to be operative and productive effectively. The employees
can also experience an increase in the morale productivity and the commitment. However
one of main and the recent issue in the management regarding communication is the cross-
cultural diversity. Cultural diversity is when there are population changes and also when the
differences are among the public. These differences comprise race, ethnicity, age and etc.
cultural diversity is a hot-button issue which is functional in the work. In this essay going to
discuss the ways in which communication is effected by the cultural diversity in an
organization and it also discusses the way in which the organization can improve the
communication in the organization (Macnamara, & Zerfass, 2012).
The main challenge for cross culture communication and communication in diverse
teams is not something new in the global world. Diversity does not involves the way people
see themselves as it also depends on the way people see others. And all this difference of
perception affects the interaction among people and ultimately it also affects the
communication strategies in an organization (Razmerita, Kirchner, & Nielsen, 2016).
All the communication in the global world is simply influenced by the cultural
differences. Each and every culture has their own believes and rules that its members take for
granted. The people from diverse cultures bring very different kind of assumptions about
various way in order to coordinate and communicate in the company. The ways to understand
how to communicate effectively with people from the other cultures has become one of the
most important things for the environment and the organization (Cooren, Kuhn, Cornelissen,
& Clark, 2011).

A diverse workforce has various issues and challenges related to the company.
Diverse groups of working often face problems due to miscommunication and
misunderstanding. The breakdown in communication befalls when the memberships shoulder
that the other person comprehends the message but in certainty they do not. It has been seen
that even when the same language is used for the communication people still interpret the
information in a diverse or different manner (West, & Turner, 2018).
Some of the factors that create misunderstanding among the diverse group of people
in an organization are firstly the stereotypes, the people try to make conclusions and judge
other people based on the kind of experience they had gone through before and these things
are directly related to the ability in order to communicate, the next thing is the language and
accent, this is also a factor that create the problems in communication as some people react
in a negative manner to different accents. And the last thing effect the communication is the
difference in communication styles and non-verbal communication and it affects the
workplace experiences
Some of the ways by which the communication can be managed in the diverse
background are; the first one is training in a uniform manner, it is important for the
companies nowadays to expect and set a training regime that would help in placing every
employee on the same page, this simply means that the everyone should be trained below the
similar set of values that are clear rubrics and events. When everybody is detained in the
same standard than the questions concerning the discrimination will be detached from the
equation. Applying the clear procedure is a difficult in subjective and creative roles of job in
most of the cases the procedure is useful and easy (Christensen, & Cornelissen, 2013)
Another ways is by using the workplace compassion training; the human resource
section in each and every business is tasked with enforcing and encouraging equality. The
