In my point of view, the telephone was a revolution in the field of technology. The
advent of the telephone made it easier for individuals to get in touch with each other despite
the geographical distance between them. Indeed, the telephone was a revolution because
today telephone has become more than just a simple phone, the telephone has gone through
massive development to become a tiny gadget which aid people to stay updated with news
and technology. On the other hand, the telegraph was the first form of communication
technology of its kind which could send a message to a great distance. Indeed, I can say that
the telegraph was a landmark in human history where it was the first time that people were
able to communicate with one another over great distances hence transforming everything
starting from how wars were fought too many other like how individuals dates and fell in
love. Letters could take days and even months before reaching their destination a situation
that used to make much information irrelevant. Nonetheless, the advent of the telegraph
messages used to be transmitted instantaneously making it possible to relay many complex
messages to the furthest points of the world by only pressing some a few buttons. Television
communication allowed the transmission of moving images. In my view, TV technology was
significant in the mass media and advertising industries.
In my opinion about these three forms of technology, the telegraph is the media
technology which has touched my heart because through the telegraph idea that data could be
shared between people who are in the different geographical distance through the air that has
led to the current cell phone that has completely revolutionized the field of communication.
