This article defines communication as a process through which organizational
information is communicated from one person to the other by exchanging words, thoughts,
emotions, ideas and mutual understanding. Published by an educational institution, this peer
review article illuminates this bibliography by putting in front some key barriers faced by
contemporary workplaces concerning communication. The authors of the article are
University professors and presents a well-defined framework to pinpoint general features of
communication practices in the workplace.
As compared to Martinez & Hurtado (2018) this article posits personal and
professional communication style that often result in distorting of actual meaning behind
making communication. The authors make a comprehensive discussion about various factors
that can cause communication barriers and how they can be mitigated by implementing
strategic guidelines. After discussing the importance of communication in the workplace, the
authors make various suggestions for the administrators about how they can enhance their
communication skills and efficiency to remove barriers associated with it.

This article has been written and reviewed by business scholars who argues about the
general viewpoint of communication and how it is impacted during the time of mergers and
acquisitions. Besides, this article also claim that very little research has been made in the
literature under their concerned filed regarding the link between M&A outcomes and
communication processes undertaken. This article can prove very significant for
contemporary organizations especially the ones which expand globally through M&A.
Similar to the viewpoints of Neely & Mosley (2018) this article finds that
communication is a medium through which people convey key messages while organizations
use strategic communication framework during organizational changes and M&A to ensure
that strategic alliances goals have been achieved. The research made by the authors draws
upon the Nigerian Banking industry to justify different outcomes M&A can provide due to
the diversified communication styles adopted. The finding reveals that communication
impacts call for extending the research so that effective communication can be enabled
beyond developed nations.

BUSINESS COMMUNICATION
This article conducts a phenomenological study that ascertains the impacts of business
communication in organizations having a diversified workforce. This peer-reviewed article
has been prepared by the Foreign Affairs Council, USA and thus the findings of the article
show legitimacy and significance for contemporary workplaces. By examining the history
behind women working in the US organizations, the authors compare how they are been
treated with ones who do not belong to the US and fall under the category of immigrants.
The findings state that the communication style adopted by the US residents i.e.
native English speakers is different than the others who do not belong to the US due to which
they are been criticized and humiliated in many workplaces. Unlike work conducted by
Angwin, Mellahi, Gomes, & Peter (2014) on M&A outcomes, this article makes a critical
study on internal communication barriers particularly faced by women workforce. The
cultural gaps extend beyond language barriers to constant workplace violence which calls for
undertaking critical steps by the multinational companies.
