Communication is the art of exchanging the ideas, thoughts between two or more individuals. In workplace the communication takes place between different
employees for exchanging their different views, thoughts on the particular task. Effective communication in the workplace helps n eliminating the various hurdles and
it promotes overall productivity by building better team personnel’s. there are various forms of workplace communications mainly it takes place verbally, written,
nonverbal and visually in workplace (Back, Tulsky and Arnold, 2020). Due to the lockdown situation company is facing various challenges for communicating with
the employees who are working from home. some of the barres to effective communication and strategies to overcome these barriers includes:
Perceptual barriers: These are the individual barrier which generally occurs with different perceptions, beliefs, experiences, attitudes, preferences of an individual.
These usually arises because of difference in opinions between two or more employees. These barriers act as the filters of various events and opinions.
Physical barriers: These are those distraction forces which enable to complete the effective communication between two or more individual. Mainly the noise,
distracting signals of unpleasant sound, unnecessary excessive information, misinterpreted message are some examples of physical barrier
Linguistic barriers: These barriers are those which occurs due to inability of an individual in conversing in the same language which is known by sender. These
occurs as of using the different language while interacting with other employees. It causes the misunderstanding and misinterpretations of the information.
Cultural barriers: Cultural barriers arise when the employees in company is belonging with the different cultures, traditions and backgrounds. the main sources of
cultural barriers include culture norms, beliefs. As the different cultures have diverse meanings, gestures when interpreted wrongly result in cultural barriers.
Emotional barriers: When the emotions of an individual are interpreted correctly will result in effective communication, but when it is being communicated wrongly
by formulates the meaning of the message and intentions results in emotional barrier to communication. Positive motional barriers are the happy face. also negative
are anger, frustrations, stress, depression.

Interpersonal barriers: These are those hurdles which enables employees in sending and receiving the information to other person in an effective way. These
barriers are very common in the organizations (Sisk and et.al., 2022). These barriers arise due to lack of self-esteem, lack of active listening skills, lack of controlling
on oneself and societal anxiety.

There are various Strategies to overcome the barriers and helps in effective communication includes:
Maintaining eye contact with the person to whom the information is communicated. shows that the other person is paying attention and actively
participating in the communication taking place.
By listening actively and carefully will helps in understanding the message properly. also listening before speaking and interpreting information
(Clark and et.al., 2019). Also being flexible towards the other by valuing the opinions helps in managing interpersonal barriers.
Another strategy is to Use appropriate language which is understood by receiver. This will help in solving issues and aids in easy understanding
of the information. Also increases the interest in conversation taking place.
