The word communication has been derived from a Latin word “Communes”
which means common. Communication is a process or act of exchanging
thoughts, information, feelings, ideas through verbally or non-verbally,
gestures, signs or signals. Essential types of organisational communication
are as follow:

1. Types of communication used in Hilton Hotel

 Hilton hotel should take support of downward communication technique.
This is most suitable for the organisation because by this way enterprise
will be able to delegate authorities and responsibilities to the right persons.
 That would help in ensuring that all staff members perform their
responsibilities efficiently and don’t find any confusion in performing task.
Downward communication would aids the organisation in making direct
coordination with all level of staff, high, low or medium.
 By this way no confusion would take place and all people will be able to
complete the given task significantly.
2. Outline which methods and tools of communication
are best suited to the various audiences

 Downward communication tool supports in
avoiding the hierarchy. Thus, there is no need to
send information passing through managers to
subordinate. Higher authorities can easily send
message to low level. This will help Hilton hotel in
maintaining healthy relationship with employees.
 Written communication tool is another suitable
approach because by this way listening gap issues
can be minimized.

have deep impact on the employee and the relationship with them. It include
organisation's vision, norms language, assumptions and habits. Culture of Hilton
is based on attitude, customs, beliefs, written and unwritten rules tat have been
developed by the industry over time and are considered valid.
 Normative culture include norms and procedures of the organisation and rules
and regulations are set already. It can affect the communication within the
organisation because according to this the employees have to behave in an ideal
way and strictly correspond to the communication policies of the organisation.

 Communication is an essential part in any industry or organisation. Hilton
use different types of communication method within the organisation.
 It has been discussed in the study, that different communication tools can
be used to attract various audience of Hilton. It also discussed that the
communication process should be smooth and flexible which can enhance
the organisational growth.
 The organisational culture also affect the communication process of the
industry.
